1:09 for tapping or drilling aluminium, dip the tap/drill in alcohol. it works like magic for stopping the aluminium sticking to the tool

It's already Tuesday morning here and I just had an notification from the Post Office, announcing that I'll receive my Ali Express parcel within the next 2 hours... This was a big order and I can't wait to do my own, private little Mailbag "Tuesday".... Cheers from Outback Australia, Rolf

Nice collection of stuff again! About the black gluesticks; I have some for years and they work well, cheaper then the one you showed I think. But: you have to flush the 'normal yellowish' out first very well. It is making hiding the glue quite nice onsome projects here. Disadvantage: harder to remove with alcohol then regular ones.

Another great assortment of stuff. I know when I learned that aluminum takes a different lubrication then steels it was so much better.

for tapping aluminum always use "Tap magic" for aluminum! stinks but works like a charm. i had to tap like 10 2mm holes with a cheap chinese tap fairly deep and never had any gumming up problems

great videos. got drill taps from temu 3mm thru 10mm and 6/32 thru 1/4 20. they work great. cheap too. came in a nice plastic case.

I got a multi-pack of colored glue sticks. I think my original intention was to try one of the glue injection mold schemes for insulating wire splices. Haven’t tried it yet.

I buy the Relton A-9 aluminum cutting fluid at the Bolt Supply House here in Winnipeg. You can also use WD-40 as cutting fluid for aluminum.

Thosej6mbonLEDs are definitely T10 / W5W bulbs, most likely 12V Add on - Lots if them on AliExpress in various colors and AFAIK 2 different chip placements, IIRC either more front or more side "beaming" Edit - there's also "normal" (not 12V) through hole LEDs available in 10 mm diameter packages.

I've bought several batches of glue sticks in several different colours for my daughter. She says their less reliable than standard stuff but when aesthetics is needed their worth getting.

Interesting. I suppose the pigment interferes with the bonding properties. I'll have to experiment.

Black glue gun sticks are more UV resistant, like all black plastics...

Those combined drill/taps are made of chocolate, they usually break on the second or third use.

I was once arrested for having those small plastic bags in my home. Apparently they are " drug paraphernalia " in the UK. Even though I had electronic components stored in them 😏

It possibly says something about the area I live in that the local pound shop sells them in boxes of 100 or 500, obviously a lot of electronics hobbyists locally...
