Excellent instruction. One problem I can't resolve: After a subscriber hits the Subscribe button and the message "Thank you, your sign-up request was successful! Please check your email inbox to confirm" shows up, the font color is the same as the background of the widget so it is illegible. I don't want to change themes/colors in WP; how do I change text color of the confirm message? (NOTE: all other text throughout the site is white and therefore legible). Thanks.

Hey Emota Media, this looks like a CSS issue. You will need to identify what CSS class or ID is attached to the confirm message and then change the color property.

Eish I've just joined mailchimp but can't seem to find the option for create email list. And my dashboard is quite different than yours. I've tried to search for it but no lucky. Not sure if I'm in a wrong path. I want to collect emails. Pls advise

Great vid thanks! Here is my question: So when someone currently signs up to my blog, WP will send them an email notification every time that I publish a new post. If I set MailChimp up like this, will I then lose that functionality? Also is it possible to export my current subscriber email addresses from WP to a MailChimp list? Cheers, Alex

Hi KiteVanMan .... to be honest I have never set up MailChimp to notify subscribers of new published posts. Regarding your second question, there is actually a very good plugin you can use to transfer your email address and do some syncing between your website and mailchimp. The plugin is called Mailchimp User Sync by Ibericode.
