Why do people in the media take the slavery call for reparations in silence; if they don’t know the facts of how slavery came to an end, perhaps some research would be in order. Though of course, we all know slavery still exists, and black people are just as guilty. When England made a stand to END slavery we stood alone, all countries involved in slavery, INCLUDING AFRICA who enslaved their own people did NOT want to end slavery. WHY? Because it was too lucrative. It’s only in recent years we finished paying out for this cause. So, I and many others are getting a little tired of this skewed take on slavery.

All the actual evidence, not Richard''s" feelings", point to William and his wife and children never ever being in the same room with Hawwy....even without markle. William is a tough, and logical man. He has put up with Harold's selfishness for too too many years. William will protect his wife and children....and even his father and Camilla, from Harold's dim delusions. William was unable to protect his grandmother from Harold bec she was ensnared by him. But William has far more influence with his father bec he is a good son and a respectful son. Also Charles is not stupid. Unlike the late queen, Charles does not make excuses for H nor does he cover for him. Charles may still love " his darling boy", but he knows that boy is gone forever, by the "boy's" own choice.

Yes and before any other nation did. The Brits put their money & battleships where their moral principals were. They stopped other nation's slave ships and returned the captives to Africa. Thi whole idea of " repartations" is just a money grab. Those tht want money had better be able to prove , with expensive DNA tests, that THEY have NO relationship to the African tribes that sold their own black neighbors into slavery. As the claimant, THEY have to prove that THEY were not part of the slave business. That might be hard to do as many African countries and tribes were involved in selling their neighbors to the slave trade. You cant buy something that is not for sale. In fact in NigeriaMarkle ws promoted to " Princess Oolala" or something. By the king of an ethnic group who is directly related to a king well known for selling off his neighbors to slavers. I guess " Princess SlaveSeller" is more appropriate.

Seaofghosts succinctly explained this. Lidia Thorpe identifies as an Aboriginal woman and is accepted by her community as such. Therefore she IS Aboriginal, end of discussion. Australia long abandoned the racist terms of ‘halfcaste’ etc which equate to the slavery terms of mulatto and the like. ‘Percentage’ of Aboriginal blood is not a consideration here.

Reparations - how about attacking those who owned and operated the slave trade and ships - European bankers. Dr. Tony Martin, a black man from the Caribbean who came to the US as a professor, spent 20 years of his life extensively studying slavery in the American South. What surprised him was that on 5-7% of the south owned slaves, and no one on the American continent controlled/operated the slave trade. In fact it was no uncommon for a freed slave to buy slaves to take care of their home and land. Dr. Martin also discovered that Africa played a major role in the slave trade. They would capture a neighboring tribe/village, capture the women, children and men and sell them to the slavers. They had quite a profitable business relationship. The captured slaves were taken to an area near the sea and they were then picked up. Additionally, the slavers/bankers set up shop in New York City. Unfortunately for Dr. Martin when he released this information he was under constant attack via being called anti-semitic and other. He was fired from his teaching job at a prominent university and lost his pension. That truth was not to be mentioned and still isn't!

"Olive Branch" get over it. William is mature and Royal and acknowledges that he has a brother, unlike childish henry. Big thumbs down this video! Can't wait for Rebecca and Richard Eden to come back.

Also just how much has hawey done for homelesness....that was close to his mother's heart? Zero, zilch, nada. Why isn't Diana's ghost telling Haawy to help the homeless instead of her supposedly telling him to waste a fortune fighting a losing battle with the press and the UK government?

@rogermartin84355 сағат бұрын
When Prince William ascends the throne the matter of Harry and the Sussexes will be dealt with appropriately. All the current dithering and inaction will be replaced with public condemnation and disdain. There will be no further contact no hope of reconciliation. There will be a programme to reduce and remove such royal baubles, styles, titles and retained royal positions such as LOS, COS etc. Any ongoing attacks on the RF and Britain and the charades of a faux royal court and faus royal tours and events will be publicly flogged and criticised. Any perceived stepping out of line will be summarily disapproved of publicly.

He can’t because Harry is an untrustworthy person. He has no honour and no amount of PR can make us unsee who he has shown himself to be.

Yes, but the issue is that Wilkiam lacks a scintilla of credibility and no one really cares who he trusts or doesnt. His problem is that, apart from amongst a few royalist and the celebrity media, he is an irrelevant non entity. He is a middle aged man who lives a life of extreme luxury at the expense of the taxpayer, and on money that could be better used to assist the needy, yet remains completely devoid of accomplishment. He invoked Harry and Di's names only to cover himself in their credibility and to deflect criticism away from his offensive - and really stupid - attempt to exploit homelessness for PR purposes. The problem for Will is that when people think of him at all it is increasingly in the context of the ridiculous, offensive wast of money he and his entire family represent- and the increasing realisation that the prospect of people tolerating another coronation, particularly his, when Charles expires is increasingly unlikely

Please do stop this PR. There's no olive branch. There's no way back for Henry to the working royal fold. Henry revealed his true personality though his actions in my opinion - an entitled, selfish, self-centred, dim-witted, work-shy hypocrite.

Harry doesn’t mention William when talking about Diana. William takes the high ground by not excluding Harry. It’s not an olive branch.

King Charles' visit to Australia was important & successful. He came as head of the Commonwealth & addressed CHOGM which added gravitas to the organisation at a time when many participating Countries are undergoing great destabilization due to climate change, financial instability, foreign interference in the democratic process. As an apolitical figure he can have a unifying effect on Commonwealth countries. His balanced positive speeches in Australia & at CHOGM should be given greater exposure.

So what do you think about not discussing harry and meghan, on this program, any further? When I hear you talking about king charles or prince william and princess katherine, I wonder then if it makes sense to discuss harry and meghan in the same program lends weight to their push of the narrative that they are also royals. The name of the show is palace confidential, so in some ways think that you're legitimizing that when they go to south america or africa on vacation, they can call it a royal tour. I just think that kind of official platforms supporting the Monarchy should not also include Harry and Meghan who really are not royalty. They're not working royals, they're not anything to do with the royal family, except sadly trying to bring them down

William speaking Harry’s name means nothing! I am rather estranged from my sister! I speak of her & love her forever, however, I will still keep my distance! Too much water over the bridge to actually want to expose myself to poor behavior again!

This program keeps beeing to pro H&M in my opinion, betwen imaginary olive branches and making to big of a sole inciden in the australian trip, this may be the last I see of this. There are other channels that show that Australia loved the visit, is the english media that keeps ataking or ignoring the Rf.

That protest was laughable. What an ignorant woman! No reparations, ever!
@carokat11113 сағат бұрын
She’s not ignorant, she’s passionate and idealogical. She is right that Aborigines never got a treaty from the British government and should have. Aboriginal body parts and possessions are still held by museums and universities in Europe despite numerous requests for them to be returned. Thorpe is a radical activist but some of her concerns are completely justified.

When will msm stop with olive branch ! PW was recalling a truth in his childhood….. it’s NOT anything more !! The UK media should also start respecting HRH Catherine Princess of Wales by having the decency of referring to her by her name , CATHERINE!!! Stop with the maiden name , nick name , without title !!! She has represented the UK so wonderfully you would think the media could get her name correctly !

Can we have other other Richard back please? Richard Kay’s reflection on the Aussie tour doesn’t at all reflect feedback from real Aussies. That ‘indigenous’ protestor is mixed race and appears to be seen as a joke by our Aussie friends. I do wish the Daily Mail would quit pushing this ‘olive branch’ theme regarding the RF and Harry. It’s getting old and stale, and was ridiculous to start with. If Prince William hadn’t mentioned his brother in this context it would have looked very odd.
@ros65534 сағат бұрын
Richard Kay often puts a negative spin on things. I’m Australian and the Australian tour was a huge success and was reported on very positively. Only a handful of protestors versus tens of thousands of well wishers.
@tinzil5573 сағат бұрын
I agree. There were a few negative comments but the majority were purely positive! It definitely seemed to be the press that were getting column inches on the possibility of Australia becoming a republic, and at the moment that’s a fairly remote chance. 👋👋🦘🇦🇺

@helenslater68694 сағат бұрын
Well the king coming here would be a better indication they place any value on Aotearoa-New Zealand as part of the Commonwealth these days. They fobbed us off with H & M last time. We tend to get the 2nd and 3rd tier now if we're 'lucky'. They don't have any relevance anyway apart from constitutional role. A visit really means nothing as they don't extend their 'good works' beyond the UK.

@fishfootface thing is, their visits don't actually mean much any more. And we are the one's who are dropped off or relegated to the 'kids' (though W & C are better fun than C & C). Actually - I don't think Camilla has ever been here has she?
