We will certainly miss Pastor Ray. A dignified and fervent servant of God. Thank you Mr Maimane for describing the role Ps Ray played beyond the pulpit and into society at large. May his soul RIP

I attended church one Sunday morning at Rhema many years ago. It was a very quiet, subdued congregation that morning. After some readings and words of encouragement by Pastor Ray, the congregation was still quiet. Realising this, Pastor Ray said to the congregation, 'OK, you didn't get what you were looking for!' (In other words, nothing he had to say was inspiring enough to lift them out of their silence). He immediately followed on to say, for those of you who are sitting here without jobs or money, or solutions to other problems you are currently facing...it's very easy, DO what you know how to do, and God WILL SHOW YOU what HE wants you to do!'. I will never forget those words of his. Because the vast majority of us, forget at one time or the other, of the talents that GOD has bestowed upon each person to help them get through life. But 'you've got to do something'. You just can't sit still all day WAITING for something good to come your way. Do something, however small it may be. And pray afterwards. Do something again, something you know how to do...and soon something bigger and better will come your way. RIP Pastor McCauley
