@@TurboPikachu How so? Even Toby Fox contributed some of the main leitmotifs that are throughout the whole game, and some of its biggest tracks. I don’t really like comparing them because I like both OSTs. I just said this battle theme sounds similar to the SV Gym Leader theme and the Province Battle themes because they sound somewhat similar to me, is all. But considering how rushed SV was as a game, I can imagine the music took a bit of a hit, too.

SV has meandering province battle themes that sound outright unfinished, while SwSh's battle theme sounds over-thought and all over the place. SV has really weak melodies with decent instrumentation while SwSh has strong melodies with grating background channels. Meanwhile M&L brothership's music is super well-realized, faithful to past entries, and catchy, even if Yoko Shimomura (the composer for the series prior to brothership) wasn't available to compose for this entry

Love the game so far, however I have some nitpicks. 1: Luigi and Mario don't feel too connected when moving as they did in other games: I need two things. The B button to fully control Luigi in Battle, and that the Other stick can move luigi to a degree. 2: the Hype music for battles is missing 3: When leveling up, you dont get to add points to whatever category you choose 4: the battle transitions lost their charm, its no longer some shoe,hammer, exclamation, etc. for the transition into battles 5: Loss of Iconic sound effects. But otherwise, good game, just miss these elements from the other games.
