I have to say as expensive as the Mulcharmies are and the current pay wall issue they create aside, I love the layer they add to the game. It’s the middle ground between Max C absurdity and free extension absurdity. The opponent can try to play around it while the player who used it can get rewarded if the opponent tries to overextend. And having 3 different Mulcharmies means the player has to make a strategic decision on which one is the best for the meta, for the main deck and for the side deck. It’s that layer of strategy that also makes them way more interesting and balanced than Max C.

In the meantime I honestly can see players quitting or hating the game for going up against these cards if they don’t have them as well. I don’t know if this can be a fix but I think it may be time to bring Called By The Grave back to 3.

@@samanderson1188 You absolutely cannot bring called by back to 3 it's not once per turn and is just crazy interruption going 1st, would completely defeat the purpose of the mulcharmies because you would then just run 3 called by 3 crossout and you're back to square one in terms of keeping combo decks and going 1st strategies in check.

@ I experienced countless formats where we had it at 3. No one complained. The Konami logic before was that it allowed combo players to overextend and made handtraps weaker but that was when most decks only ran 6 handtraps. We’re now in an era where players are running 12-18 and that was before mulcharmies. Also Crossout sucks in the tcg cause we don’t have an auto include like the ocg’s Max C. You expect one called by to fend off 18 handtraps? You wanna say its not once per turn, neither are mulcharmies. You can activate 2 in one chain. Also my point was that it can be a temporary solution esp when there is such a huge pay wall on the mulcharmies, players who don’t have them could very well lose games because of it, called by to 3 can at least give them a fighting chance.

Yes, these “podcast-type” videos are really nice/easier to listen too at work and while driving. It would be nice if you kept the cards on the screen longer when talking about them tho. After 2-3 min while working I’ll forget if the topic switched to the next card and am scrolling for a bit to figure out which card we are on 😂

Definitely enjoyable content I would enjoy continuing seeing more of, even as a MD player only. Insight into the thought process of why cards move in and out of the meta like this has improved my ability to evaluate cards in a situational and analytical approach. I also enjoy just tuning into these longer format/casual discussion videos while playing as a form of relaxing background listen while trying to get my dailies done/climb ranked/playing event matches. Personally when it came to Veiler/Imperm, because I've been running Crossout in the side deck, I opted to cut a single imperm to add a veiler. This way I had both as crossout targets and still had the same amount of single target effect negation. My deck can't play Dominus Impulse anyway, so there was no harm no foul there. What do you think of this line of thought?

My argument against Magnamhut being banned or even limited is to look at Kashtira Fenrir. Fenrir in and of itself is a MUCH more powerful version of Mag. Its usable going first and second, its removal is banish face down and unlike Magnumhut, it can search a second copy of itself. And unlike Bystials, Fenrir IS good against every deck in some way.

Impulse can't be used in all decks, but is very strong. Fuwa can be played in literally any deck in the world, but the price of a Fuwa is 3 times the price of an impulse (or at least it used to be, apparently impulse has gone up a bit.)

You could probably run burn cards in Exodia and still top. The deck is just solid, even without Secret Village. Fun fact btw: you can search Heart of the Blue-Eyes with Bingo Machine Go. I don't even run any of the other Millennium monsters, its just an Ankh pipeline and a bunch of non-engine disruption.

Nib only works in the main phase and with the tenpai fieldspell fire dragons are unaffected by card effects meaning they cant be nibbed even if they summon more then 4 times. But also many of the effects only trigger during the battlephase so if you main nib they get to go second your nib wont do anything as you dont want to nib your own board and most summon 5 and up will come in the battlephase while also beeing easily unaffected because of the fieldspell regardless of turn

Outside of dominus impulse and mulcharmies every important staple card in the game can be accessed for extremely cheap prices due to the rarity collection sets. This is unheard of in other card games. You sound unbelievably spoiled and entitled.

I know this is a tcg video but i have idea that Master duel can do for people who go 2nd. If you lose the coin toss and have to go 2nd there should be a brief moment where the player is allowed to access a side deck option. Where you have like 30 seconds to switch out cards for going second. So you’ll be able to take out certain cards and maybe add board breaks. What do you think about this idea?
