In late 90s I used to watch every Hindi movies that premiered on Doordarshan. I feel like i am re-living those old memories ☺️

Please do the 1971 film, Anand. One of my favorites. It has one of the best third acts ever written for a movie, where the audio recorder acts as a brilliant Chekhov's gun! Something, that Urjita will really appreciate. Also, since you guys have already covered KHNH in this series, you guys can draw parallels. Where, KHNH, which was clearly "inspired" by this movie, did a complete 180, going for a "funny" ending as opposed to Anand's dramatic climax.

Please do "Phir bhi dil hai hindustani" Media+TRP+Sensationalism+Media trial+Fake news+Politics+Terror charges+Patriotism. It has everything. Way ahead of its time according to me. Maybe, it has aged way too well.

@@urjitawani. Punit Pania, Rohan Joshi, or Varun Thakur. Even Officiallysane was great in the previous episode, where you guys covered JTYJN. He has a keen eye for movies.

I'd love it if you guys made an episode on "16th December". A movie that's neither overrated nor underrated, a product of its time.

Please have more episodes with people like Aseem Chandavar who have almost encyclopedic knowledge of the genre and can speak at length about that time period in cinema and compare to present-day. That was so fun to listen to

What gets me no end about GenZs is they don't know of the existence of things from before their birth. Millennials at least early ones like us (early 80s) watched what came out during our time along with those from the 60s, 70s and even 50s too. So as adults in our 20s (noughties) and 30s (2011 onward) we have not had to say "oh not watched Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Devanand, Shammi Kapoor, Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna, etc., film because wasn't born. It's 20-30 years before my time."

Its interesting what Urjita says about Saif ... Because years later Saif actually rejected the role of a homosexual man in Kapoor & Sons which went to Fawad Khan

Are kuch hi bolt hai woh!! no sense, poor comic timing, talking about a male actor not looking good in bikinis and what not. Don’t know what Abbas owes to her that he has made her the co host.

He actually played a gay man in Humshakals. One of the Saif was gay but of course no one has seen the movie😂😂😂

45:00 the fake killing of the cop scenario is also lifted from The Hard Way - Woods is annoyed w/ Fox and wants him to go. When Fox understands, Woods flips it as a life lesson that what Fox feels is what all cops feel on duty

So many memories! Fun listen. For an actually flaky Akshay Kumar movie from the same year, you guys should watch Suhaag from the same year (which my cousins and I did over and over as kids). The SPOILERS climax involves Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn propping up Suresh Oberoi's body Weekend-at-Bernie's style while he's giving testimony in court!

Catching up on this now. The entire climax set piece is lifted from the first Lethal Weapon movie, which I watched later and recognized.

Suggestion for next movie: CHACHI 420!! CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED MOVIE in terms of pop culture. Each and every actor has KILLED IT in their roles and it's a shame that even though the movie has several top notch comedic and meme worthy moments, it still doesn't get the attention it deserves!! Do consider it, pretty please? ❤️
