The music is great, I so wish this would've stayed in the parade! I've loved Return to Oz since childhood, such a beautiful and imaginative film that deserves more recognition. It's very nice this music still plays in Disneyland Paris at the Storybookland attraction keeping Return to Oz alive in the parks somehow. Thanks so much for sharing :)

that is correct / the fire occurred backstage after the float had been removed from the parade(it was removed mid-season in '85 after the film bombed at the Box Office. iirc the fire actually occurred in '90. a few other retired parade floats also were destroyed by the fire which was due to direct exposure to the sun.

I was so disappointed when they ripped this unit out of the parade because the movie was a box office flop. It didn't even last a whole summer. My favorite EP music to date.

it was seen in both Disneyland's and Walt Disney World's versions of the parade in 1985 both versions being removed mid=season to the movie tanking at the box office.
