Mainstream VS My New Terminology - Vert Kick Session

Vert kick session showcasing my new terminology changes. Tried to choose combos that highlight the problematic nature of the mainstream terms. If you haven't yet, check out the video where I explain the changes: "I Fixed The Vertical Kicks Terminology Of Tricking". 2:28 is (pop) backside 540. My editing software messed something up during exporting 😅 When something is in () in this video it means that you don't have to write it when talking about the tricks. It is usually just a transition.

@@eakmadashma I know right. There is literally no downside to this. Everything becomes more correct. We go from not a single vert kick name with degrees being correct to everything being very close to the reality.

The reason why it called cheat 360 is because it count from the step, then spin 360° then jump and kick. Cheat 900 should be called cheat 720 if using the same logic, and in the taekwondo community they call it 720 kick (cheat 900 in tricking).

@@indonesiantricker7063 in my opinion everything should be unified. You can only make this degree addition case for the cheat but certainly not for vanish, backside, swing and frontside. Hence, let's just change everything to be as they actually are in the air 😄

Does anyone understand the concept of backside kicks I just don't get the difference between a 720 and backside 720

Makes a lot of sense but have a little problem with the tornado kick

@@TEBIEMIDEE how so? There are already cheat tornado, pop tornado, swing tornado (rarely used). Cheat tornado can be the tornado kick so it can just be named tornado in most cases.

There have been very similar systems in the past. TTT (true tricking terminology) was pushed for a while by Nick Vail and friends. Never really caught on but got most tricks figured out and categorized much like yours. With flips and inversions all included. Are you familiar with it?

@@Coerced yes I mentioned TKT in my original video "I Fixed The Vertical Kicks Terminology Of Tricking". This video is just a session where I am using this. TKT is good but the names on the base round and hook tricks are too long to use nicely and it has a bit too much specificity imo.

I started tricking with kicks and the really basic moves but now i want to start flips and I feel like I could just start sending them on grass and slowly start landing better but not sure if there's a better way. How did you start flips?

@@brendan_kramer I flipped 5 years on trampoline before I even knew what tricking was. Did triple backs from tramp to mat before my first tornado kick 😄

What makes something a cheat kick

@@brendan_kramer cheat setup so the spinning step before the takeoff. If there is no cheat step but you do the same kick it's a vanish kick and not a cheat kick even though it's basically the same kick.
