I love this song and I am taking it on as my first solo as an older learner. One suggestion I have as a teacher for more than 30 years is to tackle the solo in smaller chunks, maybe two sections and incorporating the first chunk back into the whole song before adding the second chunk. Brains overload quickly so the small chunks allow the learner a better chance of success. Otherwise I really love your approach to teaching. Thanks for all your help.

Appreciate your feedback!! And I agree, smaller chunks are easier to learn than big ones. Good luck with the solo, and I'll work on "chunking" the lessons 😊

Excellent, thank you! One small note, the chords in the outro change to D Am repeating until the final C G D.

¡Hola!

@@MattScratchFever just looked at the Manuel for that amp. Looks like there's a lot of options! Have you tried the crunch or lead channels with the gain knob at 7 or 8? That's my best guess without having played with that model. I would get the tone close first, and then add some reverb effect to taste

@The Smelly Tele I will try that thank you. I don't play lead more of a rythym guy but the wife loves that lead in that song lol. Appreciate the help. Also I'm playing it with an epiphone les Paul.

It's an old song so the weird tuning probably came from the taping. Sped up, slowed down....

That's exactly what my dad said 😁. He thinks the original recording felt "too slow" so they sped it up 🤷
