I just want to give you an appreciative thank you! I watched at least a dozen of your videos… twice each! Then I wrote down all the instructions in sequence. Then I ordered all the products from Amazon including the cover cradle. I am finally using my spa after it sat dormant for two years! I now have a habit of checking the water every Saturday morning, and it’s usually perfect! It was an investment to get all the chemicals and the cradle, but so was my spa! And I started it from scratch by emptying all the water, even used the filter when I refilled it, I followed every step you gave perfectly, it was a lot of work but now it’s no work at all. And, yes I switched from chlorine to bromine in the floater, I also purchased the jar of bromine granules when I need it sanitized right away, Folks, I am a 76-year-old single woman who lives alone with no help, and if I can do this, and so can you!

I wish I had seen this video a year ago when I got the Hottub for my Airbnb villa. I have come up with this exact setup on my own, but it took months of fiddling at first. Many people say that you cannot combine chlorine and bromine, which made me avoid chlorine shock. But it is precisely the combination where my guests pour in a tablespoon of chlorine shock every night that keeps the water clean.

Floating feeders usually end up in front of the skimmer pulling concentrated corrosive sanitizer through expensive components (heater, pumps, sensors) also chlorine and bromine drop the ph causing acidic water (also corrosive). Has made me a Lot of money over 35yrs of servicing. Mineral silver is preferred to avoid causing costly corrosive problems and just as easy and has No smell or skin irritation

Hi, I've heard a lot of people say turn the jets on but without the air. Also, my water is just a tiny bit cloudy now after only having it for 5weeks. I don't have shock! Is this what I need to do. Is to buy a shock and treat weekly. I also have stablised chlorine Granules and Chlorinating Granules. What's the difference with these. I also have a floaty that I use but the fast action tablets dissappear instantly. I'm sure there are larger tablets there but they smell really strong. I bought this 2nd hand but it's under 1 year old and less than half the price I snapped it up. Its just the 2 loungers and 1 seat area but I recon you could get 5 in it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Many thanks and happy new year. Ian.

Thanks for the info. Would you know if this applies to a Softub hot tub? I’m having a Softub tech/installer come in to replace the gaskets. Granted, I can replace them myself, but as my wife puts it, “he’s a walking library”, it doesn’t mean much to me because he could be wrong about several things. Like the fact that the manufacturer, Softub, on their website sell at Ease frog, the floating device that controls the chlorine, as much as the device in your video here. This tech says that I shouldn’t be using the AtEase. To which I said well, Softub says otherwise and they are the manufacturers. To his defense, he said, “well they’re not in your backyard.” I kind of disagree with his logic, what do you think? Back to him, he did say that I should be focusing on the pH level first, then the chlorine. Not to pay too much attention to the alkalinity, as you pointed out, you can affect one without the other. Softub sells a combo Alkaline/PH Up, and alkaline/PH Down. This became confusing. The imbalance has caused the gasket to wear out, fraying away. Do you have any helpful suggestions or a video on gaskets? Thanks.

You might have heavy metals in your well water. I fill from a well as well, I have to use and RV filter I attach to my hose. Then add Metal Gon. I wait 12-24 hours prior to adjusting levels, once the levels are adjusted I shock then add bromine floater to hot tub. If it becomes cloudy with a slight brown or green color I add 1//2 a bottle of metal gone and heavy dose of shock. That usually will keep my tub clear. Also I will clean the filter daily until clear. Hope this helps!

My father got bladder cancer from a chlorinated pool he used everyday. Many people do.
@owenarnold7611
@owenarnold7611 3 ай бұрын
There are numerous causes of bladder cancer. However, if your claim was fully correct then there would be disproportionate elite/olympic/regular swimmers with bladder cancer.....and the stats simply don't back that up. Just to be clear I'm not saying you're wrong, I am saying you've only told us maybe 20% of the whole story thus your claim can't be taken seriously without acknowledging your dad's other bladder cancer causing habits/exposure.
@ToddDouglasFox
@ToddDouglasFox 3 ай бұрын
@@owenarnold7611 Owen, the funny thing about research is that it more often than not does not find cause. Interestingly, I have found cause for other cancers as well in specific cases. For example, active uranium is known to be causal for bone cancer. This can be sourced in some areas to well water. Do you hear warnings about this? Of course not. In terms of chlorine, it has so many components that are toxic and negatively interactive, it is absolutely a contributor to many cancers, not just bladder but also rectal and lung, along with other respiratory issues. If you understand the way the body actually works, you know that the liver has to deal effectively with toxicity. Swimmers work out and move their lymphatics. This lessens the burden on the liver and makes them less susceptible to toxins used to disinfect pools than otherwise. Asking me this one key question would have been helpful to you: Was you dad a swimmer? Nope. He didn’t exercise in his pool. He did exercise a bit, mostly walking. He did not have a typical American diet at all, he ate a lot of healthy proteins, fruits, and vegetable. He never smoked or drank alcohol or took medications or illicit drugs. He did not have cancer anywhere else in his body. When you comment to others, start by asking questions rather than making ANY assumptions. You assumed I had only synopsized 20% of what you call my “claim”. In my dad’s case, bladder cancer occurred due to being exposed to chorine every day. My mother spent much less time in the pool, had the same healthy lifestyle as my dad and could not reduce the frequency of bladder infections she was having until she stopped getting into a chlorinated pool. it was her only health issue during those years. I’ll leave you with this: had my parents used ozone and UV instead of chlorine to disinfect their pool water, neither of them would have had life threatening health issues develop. My mother nearly died at one point from UTIs and my father did die of bladder cancer as I’ve already shared. In both cases chlorine caused sad and unnecessary suffering. If my commentary helps one person avoid this, it was worth the time I’ve taken to respond to you.
