I am always surprised the soil doesn't get moldy

The springtails eat mold. Without them it would proboably grow.

Wierd how we do the same things, i just cleaned my 7year old moss ball jar for the first time, my 750ml jar had glass balls and moss balls. i change the glass balls with a pink granit rock from sweden and added shrimp to clean the moss balls.

Cool! I love the moss balls, but I have been struggeling to get them to grow without getting full with algae. TBF, this video was recorded in July, right before I shosed to take a break.🙂👍

@@greenmachinesweden the new shrimp eat all the hair-algae so now i have clean balls again but the "moss" balls are an algae and not a moss so new i have to keep an eye on the shrimp to see if the balls are getting eaten to

It is a big thing breeding shrimp allmost like koi but neocaridina are eazy in a jar but caridina are not as hardy and needs pump heat and the right water. I tryed to gef only males for the size and so i wont get to many babys but i later found out neocaridina dont breed if no room or alot of food
