How long have you been using this technique....I actually thought about doing this because I watched a stylist turn single locs into wicks and I see no frizz. So I was actually thinking about trying it. I see they sale the single crochet and then a triple needle crochet. Thanks for the video. Brings my idea to light

Over a year now, great when done properly.

So you can use the crochet needle instead of retwisting the roots?
@SimplyMagg

Yes it’s also an option.

I wish my frizz can become like your frizz. Inches of new growth and loose hair. Still can't figure out this technique.

Oh no. It gets wild. I just know how to tame it. You’ll definitely find what’s best for you.

Thank you! I've been searching for a tutorial on how to do this. This was perfect. So how long does this take? Seems like a loooong time to do a whole head, no? I'm thinking of just doing a couple at a time whenever I have down time. Your locs look great btw!

thank you, glad you enjoyed the video. It really doesn't take long if you already know what your doing. for beginners shouldn't take no more than 2-3 hours on a whole head, avoid pulling too hard from the roots just focus on the frizzes. I too just focus on my fronts which is the only place that messes with me lol.
