Awesome stuff, I love a good long load-out video. It’s fun to see how the new go bag has come together. I do like your pouch set-ups too, and this is like the “big pouch” to do it all!

It’s become a pretty good set. It’s working out well, and the best part is there’s plenty of room to throw one of my other pouches right in there with parts and anything else I need and roll. That big dewalt bag has a ton of room in it. Thanks bud!

There are so many channels that do these tool show-and-tells. And all of them feel like a bunch of guys spending obscene amounts of money on the latest and greatest tool even though they have 15 versions of the same tool already. Its like women having to have this season's shoe and not last season's. To top that off, the tools in these guys' bags inevitably look virtually unused as though they just like to collect tools but don't do much work with them. HOWEVER, this channel is not like that. I love seeing tools that have clearly been used. And I love seeing old one-of-a-kind estate sale tools. It truly is Real World tools. Most of us have a collection of tools we have inherited, bought for one job, found in a flea market, picked up along the way, or saved up for to get the top of the line. I so prefer this content to the guys with all of "this seasons offerings" from the new Wera line with velcro for miles, every red stocking stuffer that Milf**kee has flooded the box store end-caps with, or every Knipex plier ever made in every size with the red and blue comfort grips... Don't get me wrong, I love shiny new tools, but sometimes these tool videos are dizzying with the sheer amount of consumption and tool envy. *takes breath* anyway...cheers!

Gotta get ya a Veto tech bag. Got mine stocked for what I do an just about that bag alone keeps the roof over my family’s head a fed an everything else for what I do. Minus like an impact or battery ratchet or battery pvc cutter that gets used here an there. Otherwise that bag has a spot for my electrical meter an a manometer an every hand tool. After I picked up that bag I was hooked. I’ve had soft bags like that. The hard open top tool box/bags. Had tool rolls with pouches for everything. Nothing worked like this bag had. All my sockets hang on the outside clipped on by the Wera lil quarter turn socket holder strips to keep are freed on the inside. Everything just works seamless going in an out of that one more than anything else. Time is money. So to have clear smooth accessibility to whatever tools needed is just as important to me than anything else

Great stuff and great set up. You would really like it even more with a solid bag. I’ve used the dewalt, Milwaukee, etc. bags. And don’t get me wrong, they work. But after you use something like a veto tech or veto mc, you’ll appreciate the set of tools even more. Switching to them is one of the best moves I made, hands down.
@realworldtoolreviews
@realworldtoolreviews Жыл бұрын
I have a veto mc and an mb2. I use them for my hvac kits. I do love them, but they piss me off sometimes too. I like that big dewalt bag because I can just throw stuff like parts and other tool pouches and things like that in there. The vetos are so perfectly laid out where everything has a place, but you can’t just throw stuff in there, which often times is what I like to do 😂 maybe I’m just too unorganized for a veto.

@realworldtoolreviews

Thanks! Depends on the gloves. I like the firm grip deer skin gloves for shoveling or post hole digging, Milwaukee dipped gloves for moving heavy stuff or just general purpose, and I buy the husky work gloves for just beater gloves that I will get a year out of. Probably the firm grips are my favorite.

Perhaps you could try swapping that Milwaukee pliers for knipex plier-wrench. I have a small one in my edc toolbag. For such small pliers they open very wide and knipex has lots of sizes so you can pick the right size for your needs.

I do have a pliers wrench the same 7 in size as the cobras I have in there, and it would cover more sizes for sure, but I just don’t like the pliers wrenches. I like an adjustable wrench way better. The 7inch plier wrench is useful though. I really hated the bigger sizes, so I sold them and held on to the small ones.

Great commenting and I share lots of your opinions. The more I see that SnapOn the more I think of work. We use a screw gun with a socket attached to turn splined hardware, about half go one way and half the other way. I know I'd never in a million years talk them into spending the money on one of them but dang it'd be sweet to have for that job.

Great video brother. But I have to disagree on Klein making the best electrical tools. Yes, they make some great items but not all in my opinion are top notch. I have had and have some tools from Klein that don’t perform as well as another manufacturers same tool. And vice versa applies. Certain Klein tools have a spot in each of my bags and a host of others make up the difference. I have found some wire strippers that blow Klein’s out of the water in my little opinion. I’m comparing same style btw.
@realworldtoolreviews
@realworldtoolreviews Жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I agree that not all Klein tools are good. I just like Klein for my main electrical stuff. Who makes your favorite wire strippers? I’m curious since the Kleins are my favorite and you say they blow them out of the water! I might need to check them out
@qzetu

You're missing three important things (1) a stubby screwdriver. Saved me many times. (2) inspection mirror. (3) magnetic reacher Also, I can't remember if you had one but a voltage tester and a GFCI receptacle tester. I use them everyday. I would also recommend one insulated screw driver. I use the Klein two and one. They are good for when you need to take plates off. If you slip a regular flat head inside there on accident, there could be problems.
@realworldtoolreviews
@realworldtoolreviews Жыл бұрын
Those are three great suggestions. I probably will put a stubby and a magnet in there now that you point that out. I’m afraid a mirror would break in this bag, but those are great to have. I could definitely use a plug tester in there too to go with the little multi meter.
@qzetu
@qzetu Жыл бұрын
@@realworldtoolreviews the mirror is not likely to break. I have one in my bucket and I'm constantly tossing my drill in other tools inside it and the mirror is fine. It's just one of those tools you really should have. I use mine all the time.

I like your setup. It seems like it will work well for you. Those battery boots look handy, I know a tech who has something similar, and he uses the magnet to hold the screws he removes from compressor unit covers. I would have to watch myself were I to have something like that, I could see myself leaving that stuck somewhere that would take me hours to find, like stuck to the ductwork in an attic or something similar. I carry my m12 screwdriver in a little holster six gun style. Making it feel pretty obvious when I don't have it on me. I'm wondering why, if you like the fatter handled Kleins, why don't you have their Journeyman series with their "comfort grips"? I, too, carry a small ball peen, Estwing steel handle though, my nice wood handled hammers stay at home, ever since someone borrowed a hammer I inherited from my grandfather and broke it through abuse. Those leather pouches that you have, do you wear them while working, or are you just using them for storage?
@realworldtoolreviews
@realworldtoolreviews Жыл бұрын
Thanks bud. It’s working well so far. I have one pair of Klein needle nose multi pliers that have the journeyman handles, and I like them ok, but I just like the plastic dip handles better. They are more comfortable. The journeyman ones are really hard and they take up a lot more room in a tool bag. That’s another reason. The new pouch that I put the pliers in is more for organization, but the other pouch that has my little every day setup gets clipped on my pocket all the time. A lot of times I’ll just grab that and go if it’s something small. Those pouches are awesome for the money in my opinion.
@rogerice3826
@rogerice3826 Жыл бұрын
@Real World Tool Reviews I've had bad luck with the Journeymans handles, I bought a set, and some chemical I was working with attacked them, now I have bare metal handles, which I will say is not all that bad, as I grew up with bare handled tools.
