Like the multi videos. God, I don't miss apartments one bit. Last apartment community I worked in, I had to carry the place by myself, for 6 months. Did emergency calls and regular work orders that whole time. You need a body cam or a headlamp cam. It's a p.i.t.a. trying to do things while holding a camera. lol.

Hey Lex and Subscribers, I'm a maintenance tech, with little HVAC knowledge but plenty of electrical knowledge. I have a unit for my elevator machine room that isn't cooling. Condesnor Fan runs, Blower Motor runs, Contactor's plunger is sucked in so the thermostat is calling for cooling, capacitor is giving the correct readings for MF between fan and common, and herm and common. The unit does however have a "hard start kit" which I am not very familiar with, it has a little resistor between the two terminals and my meter reads O.L accoss the two, and it doesn't give me the correct MF would the hard start kit not allow the compressor to start? Thank you!

Yes. When the hard start is low on microfarads, the compressor will not start.

The door was probably sagging from worn hinges. Maybe bending the hinges will place the door back into proper alignment for the strike plate. Or you could have grinded out the bottom of the strike plate with a dremel. Good video. Thank you
