William Seabrook demonstrates what should be done on a graft made earlier in the season. Remove the side shoots below the graft. The clear tape can be taken off now, or a little earlier, and in any case when you see signs of constriction. William Seabrook recommends cutting the knot in the tape, rather than trying to slit it up the back which could leave an open wound in the bark. Then simply unwind and remove the tape. Remove any competing branches above the graft, so that you are left with a single leader. Put a cane in for support. Narration by William Seabrook, presented by Dan Neuteboom, camera by John Paddy.
