I was pleasantly surprised by MFK’s latest offering. The bergamot/citrus opening was indeed very aggressive, but it settled down and had tremendous depth on the dry down. The longevity was significant and the wafts I continuously perceived made me feel amazing! Sophisticated Summer in a bottle. He nailed it and it’s VERY different from previous offerings. It just needs time for closer analysis and appreciation. Bravo!

Great review, thank you for that. There are definitely a bunch of perfume houses who put all the work in opening and the perfumes lack in their base noted and heart notes. I personally would really preferred it if you would wear the perfume a few days ahead and share your thoughts on the whole composition.

Yes to smelling the scents in advance! I appreciate the fact that you do the blotter updates but when I catch the video early, I oftentimes forget to check back. I do consider the development of the perfume past the opening to be more important so that way I will not miss your take on this.

I've only worn Chanel and Guerlain and was intrigued about MFK after watching several of your reviews. But it would be quite great to have a concise group of fragrances that you think knock it out of the park from MFK.

With the bottle colours and the kind of similar concept I always assumed that the MFK Cologne forte was maybe a LVMH corporate reaction to the successful Parfum Colognes by Roja. I found the three older MFK Colognes forte to be very unnecessary releases, it’s interesting to see that they skip the previous steps and realise Aqua Media also in this range and the nice colourful bottle. Haven’t tried it yet, but am waiting on my sample to arrive, thanks for you thoughts!

@persolaise - few moments of this reminded me of YSL’s Live Jazz - citrus, herbal, vegetal, sharp yet rounded and calming. By no means identical, just a reminiscent vibe. Live Jazz was my wife’s first “mmm” fragrance on me… and so far she doesn’t hate Aqua Media either 🤷‍♂️😉 Perhaps this could be be described as his fresher, more vegetal and crisp, higher-quality re-interpretation of his previous Elizabeth Arden Green Tea? Own and love Aqua Vitae, Masculin Pluriel, and Cologne Pour Le Matin❤

I'm in favour of you smelling new perfumes in advance. I'm inclined to think that your audience including myself is interested in complex and multifaceted perfumes that do not smell like the common lot and are true pieces of art. As you were raising the point in your video I was thinking of an example: reviews of perfumes created by renowned perfumers themselves such as Akro, Christian Provenzano Perfumes, Les Indemodables, Mizensir, Nicolai, Les Indemodables, Parle Moi and so on. I know all this might lean a bit too much in the way of the alternative perfume movement.

Another point is, as a famous frag critique in YT, Mr DA (P) should always try something good n give us feedback progressively....many famous perfumers are failing thesedays to bring good stuff
