I think when we try to understand these people who are preachers of science, it's important to understand how they are trying make social impact. I think RC is more acceptable to believers as his approach is more of evolving rather than disrupting like Mythreyan. RC approach make believers to follow and evolve. Believers may not follow Mythreyan because he's demanding outright disruption in listeners thought process. I am not sure whether I m really echoing my ideas in these words. @@praveenke In my analysis, when it comes to atheistic ideas ,RC is as radical as maitreyan. My issue comes in the way RC explains social processes like caste or history. He even goes to the extent of denying stalwarts like sahodaran ayyapan. In this video like many other ,maitreyan rightly places historical figures in their right social context. When the farmlaws were passed, RC defended it considering its potential merits, whereas maitreyan denied them outrightly for the very manner in which it was passed. That's because he is placing it in the larger context of political process. The things RC is saying is nothing new, even his book is a mere translation cum explanation. A mere Google search is enough for one to say whatever he is saying. That's why I called him Wikipedia thinker . Whereas maitreyan is a social and political activist and an anthropologist who walked all his talk as well . There is no comparison. RC appears revolutionary for the kerala youth , especially who are victims of modern career based education system,who don't understand society beyond text books and social media.. If one may look into Kerala history and literature, we will see such free thinking since 1900s ,Ayyappapanikcker's kurukshetram is one among many examples. But the youth in social media age lacks reading ,so their only source of wisdom remains orators like ravichandran.

The name unfortunately hasn't influenced Maitreyan is Christopher hitchens. His political insights could have been fine tuned had he read some of hitchen's books. RC supports policies and ideas based on their merits regardless of who is saying it but Maitreyan questions the political intention of the person. Both Maitreyan and RC are an asset to our society. Their speeches are enlightening. However, when it comes to radially changing society RC is way ahead than Maitreyan.
