The problem is not she is saying she is not beautiful, the thing is they used Priyanka name because she is the Indian face known for a common white teenager, or she pretends he knows other Indian beauties when no one is in mainstream like Priyanka, she is just reducing her hard work to earn the recognition she has, as a stereotype, when the point is specifically she is the representation India is knowing. For example, if the serie was about a Colombian girl, which name they would use to compare her, probably Sofia Vergara or Shakira, why, because they are what they know, doesn't mean that is the standard of beauty, or that we haven't women even more gorgeous also famous, but there almost no one knows them, they are the most famous representation we have because they worked hard for it.
