Super cute. I made a Blue Ring Octopus and put in a glass dish with Resin and gave it to my Dad. He very proudly shows it off when he has company.

Oh my goodness this is so adorable! Knowing my luck I would break the tentacles. This would be perfect for a tiny resin ocean scene!

Thank you! After sculpting the second one (the peachy one) I tried a really small one and broke a tentacle off after baking it when I tried to pick it up Haha I would've tried again but I had no time and my eyes were crying from the strain at that point, but I will do it! X

Thanks. I'm trying to sculpt very tiny things right now in 1/35 scale such as cats and ravens for TTRPG purposes and this was helpful overall. Also extremely adorable. I plan on doing an octopus ( a bit larger than this) soon as well although the one I make is intended to be aggressive and dangerous looking! I may use glow in the dark clay mixed with translucent and paint where I don't want patterns to glow! Inspiring stuff thanks again!

Octopus have better, more complex eyes than humans do and they can squeeze through a tiny space as long and their beak fits, as it's the only hard part of their body. They are fascinating and intelligent animals.

Question for you! I just started working with polymer clay and I have trouble with getting my clay dirty when using it no matter how many times I wash my hands. How can I fix this?
@TheKayaker716 жыл бұрын
I wonder .... if a colored clay & translucent clay swirl ball (to look like the marble itself, more or less - is baked; then the octopus is created the same over that clay swirled marble ..... WILL the center be visible? I need many octopiii for a couple projects AND my first package of translucent clay, is arriving in the post today :D Guess what I'll be trying out!!!! Thank you for the Sea Life playlist - super super helpful & inspiring.

So cute! Looks easy too. I'm new to this. I'm slowly buying tools and things, so I can start learning soon. I bought a lot of clay on sale. About how long can I keep it, before I have to use it? Thank you.
@MaiveFerrando7 жыл бұрын
Siia Ane If it's polymer clay you can keep it forever fornit only hardens when you bake it. As for air-dry clay you'd have to keep it in an air tight container.
