It's not. In South Indian style, tamarind and coconut is used. Kasoori Methi is not used in South Indian fish curry

@@jaisekharnair6040 correctly said. Tamarind and coconut is the main ingredient for fish curry. We never add ginger garlic paste to fish gravy 🤣 btw . It's not afghan style though
