In 2009 X Men movie DeadPool was there with Wolverine; and they referenced this in DeadPool 2, when this version of DeadPool goes back in time to kill the DeadPool from 2009. And they showed in that scene from DeadPool 2 that Wolverine and this DeadPool would eventually be in a movie together. Another part of the story is that Hugh Jackman retired Wolverine after Logan, but Logan technically occurs after DeadPool 3; since Logan is the end of Wolverine.
