I love the story of Dafne’s audition tape. Hugh apparently felt so bad afterwards, he went to her mom to apologize for cursing at her so much, and her mom laughed and said, “It’s ok, she called you a c**t three times in Spanish.” 😂😂😂😂

Director James Mangold said in interviews that Yukio’s prophecy from The Wolverine came true, she said he would die holding his heart in his hand, Laura was his heart.😭😭😭

@@A_Planner_and_a_DreamerThe same character from the comics but not the same character in the movies. The X-Men and Deadpool movies have had their own versions of the same comic book characters. Colossus is another example.

This is the fastest slow paced movie I have ever seen. What I mean by that is it's written to be slow paced but it's so good that it gets me so glued to the screen, so engaged with it, and as a result it goes by really quickly.

*Facts about X-23/Laura:* Creator Craig Kyle described her as quote "Pinocchio for Marvel Comics, she's a samurai sword trying to become a real little girl". Unlike Logan, who had already lived a long life before he became weapon X, X-23 never had a normal life, she was literally born and bred for one purpose, and one purpose only, to kill. And she didn’t originally come from the comics, she debuted in the cartoon X-Men Evolution in 2003. In the comics she had already killed enough people to be considered one of the deadliest women in the world before she met Wolverine, and that was when she was a child. Also she only has Adamantium on her claws and not the rest of her skeleton because she was still a small child at the time and the plan was to wait for when she was a full adult because otherwise she wouldn’t have grown into her body. So while she’s not as durable as Wolverine her healing factor is actually faster and she’ll never have to worry about Adamantium poisoning because the small amount on her claws won’t be enough to affect her in the long term.

I saw Logan twice in theaters and both times the entire theater (myself included) cried our eyes out. I still to this day can’t watch this movie without crying so much I exhaust myself. For me the emotional impact is fourfold because: 1) Because this one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life, even if it wasn’t a comic book movie I would love it to death. 2) I was 10 years old when the first X-Men movie came out so I literally grew up with Hugh Jackman as my Wolverine so seeing him end his reign as this character was both heartbreaking and rewarding to watch because this is the perfect way to close out the story of Logan. 3) My mother passed away 18 months before this movie came out after almost 10 years of fighting cancer, so seeing the deaths of both Charles and Logan was extremely emotional to watch. But in a way it was cathartic to watch because like Charles and Logan she had fought her heart out longer than anyone else possibly could’ve in her condition and after fighting for so long she had earned her rest. 4) Dafne Keen is PERFECT as Laura/X-23 and I hope to god that she becomes part of the MCU. Maybe they’ll do what the comics bailed on after only a couple of years and have Laura become the new Wolverine.🤞🤞 So thank you so much to everyone who made this masterpiece, you gave us the Wolverine movie we have always wanted, and more.

The film they watch and she quotes is Shane. A classic Western about a gunslinger who tries to leave violence behind but ends up helping a single mother and her son who are fighting people trying to steal their land. It's a well known storyline today but in the 50s it wasn't as cliché. The boy admires Shane and wants to be like him but Shane tries to show him the toll that such a life can take, so it has huge relevance in this film. People still debate to this day if in the final scene as Shane rides off into the sunset if he is alive or if he died ion the saddle after giving the speak Laura quotes.

Can you imagine if, at the end of this movie, a very slowed down piano solo version of the animated X-Men theme song was played as the camera zoomed in close to the X sign on Logan's grave? I would seriously love to see a graphic novel or animated show that covers the time from when Logan returns to the present at the end of X-Men: Days of Future Past to the time of Logan. I'd love to see how all those events unfolded. Now, imagine a separate graphic novel or animated show from Deadpool's perspective.

The events of this movie happened in 2029. Five years after Deadpool and Wolverine. So by the end of D&W, there were 2 Wolverines and 2 Laura's (the second one was older than her variant in that universe). Now that's a plot hole

Isn't Deadpool in the 616 universe now though(MCU)? Meaning Logan and Laura weren't even part of 616 to begin with so they aren't duplicates. There are plenty other plot holes though, time travel unravels all logic when you think about it.

@@JeffZ1028Actually, Logan takes place in the original post-Days of Future Past timeline. Deadpool traveled into 2029 in a failed attempt to revive his universe's Logan before bringing an alternate version of Logan that created a paradox and making him the new anchor point of Earth-10005. In other words, the timeline split again when the TVA showed up at Deadpool's doorstep.

Great reaction just not long enough. Squeezing two hours into 20 mins is hard to follow. Most reaction channels have this movie somewhere around 50 mins to an hour.
