Ginger (Bess Motta) was popular stand-up & had weekly show w/ Kevin Pollak on early-Fox network, she also had "20 Min Workout" Fox exercise show competing w/ Denise Austin.

There are 3 versions of T2: 1) the Theatrical version 2) the Extended Ultimate Edition with restored deleted scenes 3) the "Skynet Edition" with more deleted scenes and an alternate ending. I recommend the Extended edition with extra scenes but the original ending.

TERMINATOR 2 IS A MASTERPIECE 🇪🇦
@mattp6089

The BEST thing about Terminator 2 is that it is 100% faithful to the story and the world and the themes and everything that were set up in Terminator at the same time as it is expanding on all of them so much. And that is in spite of Jim Cameron having sixteen times the budget thrown at him to make it with. Even the look and feel of the future scenes, while being so much more well done, feels so familiar. Speaking of budgets. Terminator is very low budget and at the time it was made, T2 was the highest budget movie ever. Both of them are worth many times their budgets combined.

T2 is one big plot hole - according to the law of T1 nothing metal can come through the time portal, liquid poly alloy included. T1 was a complete concept,a horror movie in the vein of the the old Universal movies such as Frankenstein & The Mummy or the Robert Mitchum preacher in Charles Laughton's Night of The Hunter or Cape Fear where the monster is relentless & just keeps coming despite the heroes best efforts. I personally think T2 is a watered down Hollywood people pleaser. T1 to me is a far superior story.🤔🎥😎🙌👍

*My favorite bit of comedy is in the apartment as the landlord asks about the odor coming from the room. The Terminator cycles through possible responses and comes up with "Fuck you, asshole", which is a nod to the scene where the T-800 (the exact model of The Terminator, also referred to in the movie by Reese as Cyberdyne Systems model 101) first arrived and encountered/slaughtered that gang of thugs led by Bill Paxton.*

Lasers and laser sights were somewhat new back in 1984. Using the red spot from the handgun to indicate where the shot will hit without having to show the actual shot was clever and cost saving for this movie. The "coolness" of this use in the movie is probably lost on younger folks having grown up with lasers being common.

7:33 Michael Connel Biehn glancing over the name "Michael B. Connor." 10:22 In Terminator: Resistance, you play as the soldier who saves Reese right after that. You can also play as a Model 102 Terminator; the one that was played by Franco Columbu in the movie. 14:32 Good eye for detail. Joshua is the "me" of this bunch. 28:41 Fun fact: Linda Hamilton did this whole movie with a broken ankle. 29:50 Watching this for the first time as an '80s kid in the '80s, Reese's Deth was a gut-punch to the soul. Because to a kid, especially a boy, Reese is your dad. He's Optimus Prime. He fits that archetype perfectly (both Kyle Reese and Optimus Prime). Terminator: Resistance plays on that and has you fighting alongside Reese.

The producer and co-writer, Gale Ann Hurd (Cameron's 2nd wife), is producer for most of the most successful sci-fi and action movies of the 1980's, 1990's, & 2000's, including "The Walking Dead". One of her signature features is that the women are competent heroes rather than damsels in distress, sidekicks, or heroines who need saving. She also did "Aliens".

The pager constantly going off, the yawning and how hes just like "yeah, yeah, yeah" during the questioning all point to that. I've seen a ton of reactions to this classic already, but yours is one of my favorites! The Terminator is my #1 movie of the 80s and James Cameron's best film, imo. I like how you managed to admire the technical aspects and the great character work but at the same time enjoy the movie itself. I can tell that your family is very adept at understanding what goes into filmmaking, but at the same time you actually react to the movie. I've seen some channels with "experts" who spend too much time over-analyzing everything to the point I can't enjoy their reactions at all. This is also one of the few channels that's reacted to this movie that actually picked up on a lot of little things that I've seen many other reactors just ignore or gloss over. Cameron and his crew put a LOT of attention to detail in making this masterpiece. The Terminator is among the very few perfect movies, imo.

Except for the very first theatrical release of The Terminator. all subsequent releases, in the end credits. have a line crediting the work of Harlan Ellison. Ellison (died 2018) was a irascible, sometimes infamous writer, including of several television scripts. He wrote the original script for Star Trek's (Original Series) "City on the Edge of Forever" , which won that years World Science Fiction Hugo Award for best screenplay. Before Star Trek, Harlan had wrote a couple of time travel scripts for an earlier series, The Outer Limits. "Demon with a Glass Hand" was the one most directly influential on Cameron's first Terminator script. Copies of the Terminator script circulated around LA, and Harlan heard about the similarities. Harlan called up Cameron and (supposedly) politely asked for a simple credit of acknowledgment, and no money. James Cameron blew off Harlan Ellison. Big mistake... Harlan was as free in filing lawsuits as any Scientologist. The short of it, in an out-of-court settlement, Harlan got $70K (a token, really, considering it was a box office hit) and those subsequent release credits. If you ever get the chance, ask James Cameron what he thinks about Harlan Ellison...

Each Terminator film is best in its own way💖💖💖. T1, T2, T3 and TS this is the main continuity(sadly the story never got finished due to all the toxic fandom). Pls react to all 4. The last 2 films Genisys and Dark Fate were like alternate universe stories. Not in main continuity. Those are fun films too. Reacting to them is optional it's all your wish. I remember the first time I saw this film, I was a bit too young to watch the sex scene and was told to cover my eyes, even though I did still sneak a peek at the time, lol. Yeah, not too young for all the blood and horror and violence, but considered too young for the sex scene, which actually was not even that explicit, lol. I think the music and sound FX is what really helps elevate the suspense in the movie. Terminator 2 still ranks among some of my all-time top favorite movies. In fact, I enjoyed all the Terminator films and think each sequel had their own charm with good moments and bad moments, but overall still highly enjoyable. I think T3 is pretty underrated, not nearly as good as T2 but still very fun. But, I think the "true" sequel to T2 is actually the Sarah Conner Chronicles tv show and then followed by Terminator: Dark Fate, which I think is very underrated and deserved much more love than it got, but I digress, lol.

There are a lot of artful and interesting things in this film. One thing that I enjoyed back when I first saw this in the 80's was the more authentic portrayal of the artificial intelligence of the T-800 as algorithmic decision tree methods with limited learning incorporation given I was very familiar with the hardware and software capabilities of the time. An example is how it took in the list of Sarah Connors of the phone book and iterated through them in that order. Also, in the gun shop it went through a list of increasing weapon technology until it reached a point of the weapon not existing yet (phased plasma rifle in a 40 Watt range), or not in that store - kind of a linear search. "Just What You See Pal" had him switch to guns on the shelf. Skynet AI would be more sophisticated. Given its low budget, James Cameron was working miracles to produce such a great artistic and sci-fi genuine film. When I saw it with pause capability I could slow down or freeze the Terminator POV. There was a little relevant info. text and graphs when needed, but it also is shown as printouts of graphs and source code (6502 assembly language), and not a visual representation of an execution flow. It was still much better than a lot of silly non-technical stuff of many films. Also, in T2 they included a lot more visual representation of a Terminator's thought process (with the much bigger budget and advances in technology); and gave it the potential to learn more.

Aliens and T2 are the standout exceptions. Thanks for keeping the chatter minimal, as this is hard to do with a group, moreso, probably, with family. But people ALWAYS start missing important details when they start talking. Elsewise, great reactions. Thanks for the shared fun.

Lance Henriksen has had a really prolific career, appearing in this film as a police detective, and as Bishop from Aliens as you mentioned, but also multiple appearances in the Pumpkinhead series, the Scream series, Powder, When a Stranger Calls, and Jennifer's Body. He also was the protagonist Frank Black in "Millenium," the second series from X-Files creator Chris Carter. On TV, he also appeared in NCIS, Castle, Hannibal, and The Blacklist, among others. In video games, he provided the voice for Admiral Hackett in the Mass Effect series, as General Shepherd in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009), and he narrated the Jedi historian Master Gnost-Dural in Star Wars: The Old Republic. As a horror fan, my favorite film appearance of his was as the narrator for the horror film documentary, "Nightmares in Red, White, and Blue," which I highly recommend for all fans of the genre!

papa-san is right T2 is omega level legendary. so cool these guys liked this one and the young bucks dug that tech-noir track, rad vibes : ) also Stan Winston is an inspiration to us all and made our childhoods unforgettable.

what bogles me, when T2 was a molestone in CGI, todays CGI creations are mostly crap born in the 60s i love the 70-80-90s and early 2000 movies, what they make these days is below standard

❤ Kyle Reese is a great underrated character. I heard Stallone and Mel Gibson were considered for the role. They would also fitted perfectly

No, they would not have been as good. Kyle needed to be tough but an ordinary guy.

I like that Arnies hair is shorter and his eyebrows are gone after the car explosion. And its damn close to how you would look afterwards. I know. Gas on an open fire as a teen.
