I will for sure visit this resort one of these times unfortunately i already have a reservation at a different punta cana resort but this place i hear has amazing food and its so charming

Hey hello! It is a great resort with amazing staff, amazing grounds, a beautiful pool, and a great Beach. As far as the food at the Majestic Colonial I would just say it's average. @ last year we were at royalton splash riviera cancun and the food was very much below average in quality and choice not to mention for a “5 star” plus the hotel was in all honesty very bland in its scenery with maybe 20-30 palm trees in the whole middle section. The only positive was the room and the bracelet key cards.

@ i really liked riu palace bavaro ( was there early 2018 ) now that its been remodeled thats also on my list as the scenery was gorgeous and the food was very good

Hey, glad you liked it. Unfortunately, there's no dedicated coffee shop at the Majestic Colonial but you can get coffee at most of the bars in the lobby area and there's a self-serve coffee machine in the lobby piano bar. But these are coffees like espresso and cappuccinos macchiatos but nothing fancy. Only The Majestic mirage has a dedicated coffee shop. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching. Hi, I enjoyed your video but I would like to know the bathroom inside of the hotel room is it totally separate? Does it have a door? I noticed a lot of the bathrooms in DR do not have a private bathroom and I was wondering why, do you just walk right into the bathroom or is there a door? Thank you

Hello, I just realized that we didn't show a picture of the bathroom in the video. The bathtub is in the middle of the room as you can see. The shower is right off the sink area but to my recollection does not have a door. But you kind of walk around a corner and you do have some privacy. The toilet area has a frosted glass door on it from what I remember. But for both the shower and the toilet there's not 100% privacy. It seems all the Majestic resorts are sort of set up that way. You're right, the beach is much better shape than it was a few years ago and the Majestic Colonial has always had the biggest speech of the three. I would definitely go with the Elegance. The rooms are a little bit bigger. The vegetation is also beautiful and the food is better than at the colonial. Plus their lobby bar is much more impressive and they have a dedicated steak restaurant!

​@@melissabombard8402they are right next to each other, so it'll take you about 3 minutes to walk down to the beach at the Colonial. The only real difference is that the colonials Beach is a little bit wider than over the Elegance

Hello, not much different. I would say that the Elegance rooms are maybe 20% bigger than the colonial rooms but both are a single room design. In about 2 weeks will be publishing a video that compares The Majestic Colonial and The Majestic Elegance of The Majestic mirage and in that video we do show pictures of the rooms at the Majestic Elegance. But to be honest, you spend so little time in the rooms just to go to sleep and change that the size of the room doesn't make that much difference. Thanks for watching. Thanks for asking a question. I believe they do have sushi at the buffet, but they also have a full-fledged sushi bar in the Japanese restaurant which you can go into for the sushi without the need for reservation. However, our Golden rule is not to eat anything raw or under cooked when in punta Cana, however we did see many people enjoying the sushi! Thanks for watching and thanks for asking a question! Yes it is. Family friendly. They have a section at each of the Majestic resorts just for families with a family friendly pool. And we have been there five times and we have never gotten sick. What we do is not eat uncooked food like salads and we take Pepto-Bismol tablets, two tablets in the morning and two tablets at night. The chewable ones. And by doing that we have been fine. As a meteorologist, you all might want to keep track of the weather. There is an area of low pressure that could form in the West Caribbean over the few days that could develop into a tropical cyclone. Right now it is moving northwesterly, but the Atlantic is very active right now so watch out!

If you mean Cocco's night club (Disco), its free to enter and drink there. If you mean the Club rooms, the extra services that you get is included in the price of the room. The Majestic Colonial and Majestic Elegance have been around long enough that all the vegetation has grown in and looks nice. When the Majestic mirage first opened up in 2016, their newest resort, the vegetation at first was a little bit sparse. But, everything is pretty much grown in and it looks great now.
