Currently staying at Majestic Colonial - two bad cases of food poisoning, both my husband and myself. Two different venues - both buffets. My advice is to eat only freshly cooked food and to avoid buffets in general

Yikes! Sorry to hear that! We've been there multiple times and only eat the cooked food. Nothing that's not cooked and it's kept us from becoming sick. Hope you guys recover soon. I hope you can enjoy the rest of your stay. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching!

Thanks so much you guys: we are on the mend now but our son is now sick also. This is our third visit here and we love it in every way but now are concerned about possible decline in food handling standards. Btw room service is an excellent option especially for breakfast for anyone who shares these concerns. Thanks for your excellent videos!

I was just there 2 weeks ago for my honeymoon 🤗. We ate the beach restaurant most of the time. We did have breakfast there once 🤔, so I'm surprised you didn't have the opportunity. Love your videos, you guys present your reviews very well for those looking for this info.

Good to know that they brought back breakfast at the beach restaurant. We were there in late August which is their slow time, so I guess they were cutting back a little. Congrats on getting married! No, we have been to punta Cana at least five times and Iwe have never gotten sick. What we do is not eat uncooked food like salads and also take Pepto-Bismol tablets. Two tablets in the morning. Two tablets at night. The chewable ones. And with that we have not gotten sick. Thanks for watching

@@chiccaboom I've gotten a little Ill once in Punta Cana a few years ago. I think it's because I was rushing to brush my teeth, and initially forgot to use the bottled water 🤷🤦. I'm vegetarian and I do eat the raw produce (salads) with no issues. Everyone's body is built different. No one should drink the water. Don't let your tongue touch it @all from the faucet 🚱 🤢

Happy Anniversary. Oh Lobster- mouthwatering. Oh man, I am now so hungry- it's 10am and I've been drooling at the meals. The dinner and show was lovely too. I'm a sushi and fish fan. Can't have 100% perfection I suppose. OK is just OK too. The French Restaurant was Tres Chic - but oh my the meals sounded less successful. The buffet sounds great. Another honest and awesome review. 👌🇳🇱🙋‍♀🥝🕺🏿💃

Great video, thank you! A question - I noticed you said they normally take your room number at meals what if you are hungry in between? Do they have snacks? Thank you!

If you are in a Club Room, they have an area that is open to club guests all day and night with snacks. Otherwise, to get a quick snack you can always go into the buffet if its open and grab something, or head down to the restaurant on the beach where they have not only lunch but a limited offering of food later in the afternoon. And, they have the McJestic on the Carribean street for late night snacks! Don't worry, you won't go hungry here! Thanks for watching and for the question! Cheers!

Good video. You are right about the food it good but you come to relax and enjoy the country and do try to find something wrong. These people are trying hard. And always tip like you said. Thanks

Nice! Wish we could go back with you! Not this time but we did try them on trips in the past and they were good. We were so tired by the end of each day that we never made it this time! Have a great time....we love the staff there and how nice the resort is set up! Thanks for watching and thanks for asking a question. ps...don't forget to haggle if you go to vendor night on Thursday. We always offer 1/2 of what they say and then work up from there.

Was there 2/3 weeks ago. We did walk into the sports bar to check it out. Morning was going on at those times. McJestic is part of the sports bar! We did have items from here, but find most nights, they were out out items too soon. We'd stop by about 11p 🤔. This is the time for late night eating 🤷. What we did have was good to us.

We have done that in the past. If we went to one restaurant and didn't like it, we would go to another, and the only time it won't work is at the two restaurants that require reservations.. Hope that helps. If you have another question, feel free to ask. Thanks for watching
