I've been to a few places in the past so I'm just looking forward to getting away from the grind of work and relaxing with my wife in a new setting. I think a resort offers escape and a taste of paradise. Every experience during our stay should be perfect and we should be left wanting more. That leads to repeat customers and great reviews to entice others. If we get that, we will be walking billboards to all we meet of how great the place was. What did you like most about your stay?

I'm glad you enjoyed both the resort and room tour. My favourite part? Too many to list but I'll start with the beach, it was a fantastic stretch of beach. The pools are massive and provide lots of room for everyone to enjoy while not feeling staked on top of one another. That said, it was the service provided that makes this resort so fantastic. I always tell my clients that if they don't intend to leave the resort than the destination really shouldn't matter. Find a resort that offers the vacation experience you're after and pick that over a destination. After all, you're going to spend more time at the resort and this will have a greater impact on the success of your vacation.

Hi @theferm1144 , that is a great question. The resort does have golf carts that run on the outside parameter but not through the middle. No, you cannot access the hydrotherapy area or amenities without booking a spa treatment or booking spa access to the hydrotherapy area specifically. Thanks Jeff for such an informative video. I'm a detailed viewer and enjoyed how you showed so much. Have been to the D.R. many times and like a resort with a nice beach area and great swimming. Like to have my space on the beach that is not over crowded. How do you compare this resort against Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar and Excellence Punta Cana?

Thank you for your review, and the time you put in to give detailed explanation, have you been to santuary cap cana or know of people that have been there? How would you compare sanctuary cap cana to secrets tide?? in terms great high level room with tub ,patio with seating , great food , lots of option for restaurant, great service, romantic vibe, get golf cart to transport you , unique design , not loud party atmosphere but more chill to in bewteen upbeat, not clustered can get seat on pool and beach without racing for chair, swimmable , nice excursion for people who are not really adventurous and not the zipline hiking type of person but still would like to find a middle ground

The beach was small for their liking but still lovely. They raved about the service. Secrets Tides has a much bigger beach which is good for long walks. The service there was fantastic as well. @@pheliceafoster2752 there are lots of excursions available to suit all tastes. Private tours should private unless otherwise specified. There are relaxation cruises, city tours, glass bottom boat tours, whale watching (subject to time of year), horse back riding, sailing tours, chocafe tours and many others.

This is a great question and I'll answer it in two parts. Yes, men are required to wear pants and closed toe shoes in all a la carte restaurants. That said, the enforcement of the dress code can be hit or miss at this resort or any resort for that matter. All the restaurants are air conditioned if you opt to eat indoors. Hope this helps. There is no onsite casino at Secrets Tides but there is one at the neighbouring Breathless Punta Cana. I'm not sure if they'd allow it but perhaps worth asking if you're able to use the casino at that resort. The evening entertainment at Secrets Tides was fantastic. Usually a singer or performer in the outdoor area of the lobby near Rendezvous, most nights there was a show in main theatre and Desires has a live DJ. What are you most excited about seeing or doing at Secrets Tides?

@@SunnySouthVacations Thank you very much for your quick reply. I am looking forward to just relaxing in such a nice resort with my wife and friends. I plan to hang out on the beach, around the pool, take breaks to eat and then repeat. We opted for a preferred club suite so we are really looking forward to that. Also, looking forward to trying some great food. Hopefully not all of the dining options are challenging or geared toward people who like experimenting.

@@dshillow401 You'll have a fantastic time at Secrets Tides. The beach is so big and the chairs are so spread out. The Preferred pool is extremely nice and so close to the beach as well. The food is also great. For me it was only a challenge at Meraki and Tierra but I still found some great options and was happy to set out of my daily comfort zone. My favourite was El Patio.
