@@mrbubbles6468 Yeah you can still do combo if u get to venus in ur opener as well but the problem is that there arnt any plays you can do that will win you the game reliably enough with only 2 cards as back up for the combo (1 in hand being venus or stuff that gets u venus on board plus 2 shine balls you bricked leaving only 2 random slots open) and for combos u basically need to play 3 shine balls. On top of that they are so reliant on sanctuary that u need to play enough ways to get to it so chances are at least 1 of the random slots is something to do that. So saying you dont get handtrapped (good luck) you can do full combo for whatever it is you wanna do but you only have 1 card to back it up or that 1 card as a follow up for next turn if ur opponent breaks your board. every shine ball in hand takes 1 opportunity away to interact with ur opponent and since u have to play 3 for most combos (as far as I can remember) your chance of opening venus is just as likely as it is to have a ball in hand. You see the issue here?

You can use sanctum of parshath instead of the field spell since its treated as the sanctuary in the sky. Its really funny if you have sanctum and you send devine punishment you would be able to have a omni negate that isn't OPT.

Reasons why it wasn't dead yet: 1- Neptune, its The Agent card was the only planet left on our solar system that didn't come out before. 2- Kotori/Tori's Seiyu used to play this archetype (I don't know if she still play them) and could have use connections to get that The Agent support.

In case anyone wonder why neptune prevent the tribute of the monster its summon. Its because if it didn't, saturn would turn into an annoying finisher that s dificult to interact with on top of the fact that synchro hyperion can already copy its effect while sending it to grave for neptune to bring it back. Basically almost the same reason gem-knight used to be so annoying. Not sure how effective this burn strategy would have been but better safe than sorry

Good catch. That was bothering me but I explained it well. It's been so long I forgot u could tribute Saturn. that being said though, I feel like they could have just worded it differently so as to exclude Saturn but not the rest of the agents. I mean most people will synchro with the summon but it would be nice to have the option to perform a tribute summon

ngl he is a really genuine yugituber. I honestly believe that too many yugitubers today overexaggerate when it comes to their reactions whenever a ban list drops or make certain cards currently in the game seem much more powerful than they actually are: "This is broken, that's OP" as if they understand what the term "BROKEN" or "Overpowered" actually means. They always act SOOOOO surprised when Konami gives updates about sets, the game etc. when they CLEARLY know what Konami is trying to do and knew what to expect. This is a pretty good start, I like how their boosted effects from Sanctuary for Majesty and Neptune works if said field spell is in the graveyard as well as on the field, Majesty can be special summoned from the grave (for dem Synchro plays) and the Synchro can dump Extra Deck monsters. Hopefully the other new cards can give it the boost needed (Sanctuary retrain that can be retrieved from GY perhaps?)

from where did you pull that ruling interaction? I dont find anything about it online also majesty is worded differently from swords woman. swords woman reads " Your opponent takes any battle damage you would have taken from battles involving this card instead. " meaning she reflects dmg you would take. majesty hyperion reads "All battle damage you take from battles ..." meaning that he reflects only the dmg you ACTUALLY take. So even if I cant find stuff for swords woman I believe that she works that way since even if the actual dmg goes to 0, you WOULD have taken more than 0 dmg and she reflects the dmg u WOULD have taken. In majesty hyperion´s case however he only reflects the dmg you ACTUALLY take so if that is 0 due to sanctuary ur opponent should also not take any dmg since u didnt actually received dmg.

@@MrHerbertbauer I'm like 90% sure your opponent would still take the damage since Lyrilusc have a similar 2 card combo: Assembled Nightingale: "Lyrilusc" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, also you take no battle damage. Recital Starling: All battle damage you take from battles involving this Xyz Summoned card is also inflicted to your opponent. If Assembled's effect is active and you crash Recital the opponent still takes the damage even though you don't. It seems like the 2 effects shouldn't work together, but they do which makes me think Majesty and Sactuary also work together. Regardless we just have to wait for rulings

But yeah in this case sanctuary is 2 important to the deck so this will come up so it will be reasonable for Konami to give out a ruling for this once it gets to the tcg

Jusr play three copies of the parsath continuous spell card that is treated as sanctuary in the sky on field. That way you only need one of the original field spell to keep in grave for when you don't have or can't keep the other card on field.

According to Yugipedia, that seems to be true, the idea here seems to be that sanctuary "converts" the damage to 0, so Majesty's effect comes first as it makes the damage hit both of you, but then sanctuary changes that to 0 Here's how sanctuary is worded: "Battle Damage to the Controller of a fairy monster from a battle involving that monster BECOMES 0" So imagine you crash a shine ball into a blue-eyes for example, Majesty forces your oponent to take the damage you "took", but sanctuary turns your damage to 0 At least that's what I think

I watched this video a couple months ago before we got this card in english. I was bummed when you said the opponent won't take damage with Majesty and Sanctuary on the field. It makes sense when you read them but playing Yugioh and reading it sometimes doesn't translate as well and what do you know Master Duel allows the opponent to take the damage I suppose because technically they don't have the Sanctuary or a fairy on the field. I came back to this video to remember if me and you both thought the same. Just wanted to put it out there because I tend to agree a lot with what you put out!

I know this is old, but if sanctuary and majesty are both active at the same time then battle damage to the controller of majesty will be 0 and as long as the other Monster is not a fairy the opponent will take the damage. Majesty makes both players take damage but sanctuary turns that damage to 0 for the controller of a fairy monster.

@@mrbubbles6468 the damage becomes zero because of the field spell in play. So basically, if they attack into ANY low attack fairy and a high attack monster: it would be as if nothing happened. You'd have to make sure your field spell isn't banished which surprise surprise: cosmic cyclone, arclightsworn, dragon spirit of white, and many more do.

I think the “your opp takes battle damage you take” effect is meant to be useful when Sanctuary isn’t on the field for a reason. Way too many Sanctuary-reliant cards are completely reliant on it to have any competitive use…at least this effect serves as a small safeguard until you get your key piece in play.
