Really? I thought the standard was thug style. I always went with it and left breaker only if there were too many people at once. I don't really like the stops thug style does and sometimes I don't even know how I did what. Maybe I still suck. Also, is it just me or is thug style a better version of Kiryu's brawler style, especially because of speed?

@@nctrn07 eh it’s just thug doesn’t get a lot of attention and people call it “bad” for it being slow which are the type of people who buy upgrades without checking the description of that upgrade, breaker gets talked a lot more than slugger and thug.

@@destruction42k so in the training it says RB + B But if you go to the tool tip later in the skills menus it says RB + Y. I am unsure if the wrong tooltip is that way in all versions or just xbox control based ones. ( I played on PC ) There are other weird things like this. Such as mad dog counter saying you need to be in 3rd gear but you can do with any amount of heat.

Yeah, if young, fresh-faced Kiryu can stomp Kuze 4 times out of 4, then _Goro fucking Majima_ would canonically wreck Kuze’s shit just like this. That’s not to say Kiryu’s weaker than Majima in general; it’s just that in this particular game, Majima has a TON more experience and is portrayed as a much bigger threat. I mean he beat *Lao Gui* soundly. Kiryu, as much of a beast as he already was by the end of 0, would probably lose to Lao Gui.

Kiryu might have beaten up Lao Gui fair and square if he was fully upgraded by the end of 0. Unlike Majima. I remember how much of a tough time I had fighting Shibusawa which has assed leveled up Kiryu. But that wasn't the case with Majima against Lao Gui. I didn't completely upgrade Majima but I was still able to wreck Lao Gui's comfortably so.

It's been a while since I last played Yakuza 0, but how did you make Majima so fast in his thug style? I upgraded my Majima in my legend playthrough but he was never that fast.

Thugs speed is based on how much heat you have. No heat - thug is slow for everyone, second heat bar it's faster, and third heat bar its fastest. You can see at the very beginning of the video my hits were pretty slow, and became faster as I got more heat.

@@returnofskurk1633 No. This was a climax battle and Legend style wasn't even unlocked. If your Thug is fully upgraded and you're still slow, it's probably the click speed 😅 Even though I don't think there even is an upgrade for Thug that makes your hits faster, I think the speed is the same from the beginning of the game, just varies upon heat level.

Hare's a little change for you Kuze 5 on Legend rush only. Just did this myself after hearing so many say that you should NEVER fight him head on with rush so i did. it's not quite up to your no damage standards sadly i did it with no heat actions, healing and no reversal counter (It had been a long time and i forgot i had it but it made things far more interesting.) Learning to floating guard though most of his combos other than the one that tends with the kick was really fun. baiting his counter attacks like his back hand that you can duck though, or his haymaker you can dodge to the side and forwards so that his momentum puts you behind him. ECT Obviously you don't have to do this just thought it would be an interesting way to fight Kuze

the last one was painful, i was able to do all of them with breaker cheese (albeit some weren't so easy. Basement kuz was doable but hard because i had a lot of enemies to shake off first, and kuz was able to break my streak with his aluminum pipe) but i had to actually learn for the last battle.
