It looks like there may be some movement in the legislation and a recent court ruling to modify or do away with Title 47 Section 230. Section 230 creates a tiered system of free speech. Some get their free speech and some don't! I've had many videos pulled down by YT! I've learned to show things without actually showing them. It's unfortunate but he who owns the gold makes the rules!

I don't think you could be more wrong about 230, if that went away you would see the vast majority of small websites like forums gone within the decade. The issue is that government is using companies like google to outsource tyranny, most of this censorship action is really coming from government as the twitterfiles proved beyond a shadow of a doubt. This is illegal period and has nothing to do with 230, so getting rid of 230 will not stop it. The concept of the 'public square' is much older than 230 and it's the real crux of the issue, SCOTUS has already ruled that the 'public square' cannot be censored even if it is privately owned. A 'public square' is precisely what KZbin and social media are and by that definition alone what they're doing is unlawful, there is simply no need to complicate the issue here. Companies like Facebook and Google will be able to survive the end of 230 because they have all the lawyers they ever need, whereas the usual suspects can go on the smaller forums and make threats ect and the lawfare alone from a federal investigation will shut them down for good.
