Do this repair in most parts on your own is a thing you can be proud of.

So far, it’s all holding up really well. It’s settled down very very little. So I think compaction was really good and it’s hard as a rock right now.

My fav thing about this video is getting a peek of that pretty lil red ranger every time you top the dam 😄. (I've been looking to buy one to replace my '93 😅)

This one is a 1997 standard shift 3.0 L engine 4 Wheel Dr. on the floor, lockout hubs. It’s a really good little truck

@@Paw95 nice! Mine was a 93 3.0L v6, standard 5 speed, 4x4, with a 4 inch body lift and cute lil 33 tires. He was a tank!

Lot of work but your used to that. Great job Preston. 300 foot dam wow! Little bit moisture in the dirt is what you want. Packs much better. Perfect presentation my friend. ❤😎👍

This will be over 1.5 acres big and the dirt was perfect. It’s clay and it had just enough moisture in it for compaction. Thanks for stopping in!!

Seems like you have done a great deal of planning and research to fix this up better than before. Hopefully it will last at least another 30yrs and more. Definitely need to add reinforcements to the majority of your pond sides so you can fell assured those are stable too.

@Paw95 how low is your pond? We haven't had much rain. The little Miami River is very low in spots. I checked it out a few days ago, and sand bars are coming up all over the place and expanding

@@leshemingway3352 it’s about back to normal level right now. The new normal level. It took from June 2nd till November 22nd and that’s crazy.

on a previous video you posted the single walled pipes you showed up close was perforated and looked like field tile pipes, not meant to be used as culvert. You are doing a very good job.
@Paw95 Жыл бұрын
Them old pipes were not purforated. Muskrats made the holes in them. I got better ones in them now and much bigger.

Ignore the cranky folks who are armchair quarterbacking what you should have, could have done. Looks like you are getting things done with what you have to work with. Looks good Wow, I watched the LARGE pond go flowing down through the dam break. It will be interesting to see how long it takes the pond to get back to the previous level.

maybe do some muskrat hunting or trapping?

You gonna use cast concrete pipes? They're not too expensive.
@Paw95 Жыл бұрын
Already looked into a box culvert. Over $10,000 and couldn’t rent an excavator to set them either. Would have been in the same boat with the concrete pipes.

The cost or stuff now a days is insane. I was going to do a pond about this size but my insurance guy gave me a price for an insane increase on my bill if I did due to houses being downstream.
@Paw959 ай бұрын
Yeah everything is so high anymore. This is a small stream and it goes through nothing but forest land.

Water and Republicans share one thing in common: Both run downhill to find the lowest level possible.
