Luz jumps into the mud because she just caused Amity to fall into it, and she seems upset by it, and i've always loved that particular detail. Just, the fact that she doesn't even draw attention to it, just quickly gets them even and MOVING ON. Amity also seems like she gets it and appreciates it, in my opinion.

15:01-15:17 was, basically scene for scene, my own reaction to this moment as well. I just couldn't believe what I was seeing; at the time, I was very well aware of all of the Lumity shipping and theories about Amity crushing on Luz but I was in denial that it'd ever happen and chalked it up to wishful thinking from the fandom, since Disney's track record with that kind of thing in an animated cartoon on their main channel wasn't very good. Boy, was I happy to be very wrong; especially after seeing where the relationship went as the show progressed. By far one of the most mature, wholesome relationships I've seen onscreen, period, in any form of media.

I've said before... I'm really not a romance guy. But, I must say, it is sweet (and also funny) to see people who ARE freaking out about it. There's also a LOT that can be said about how The Owl House handles it, all with the show never actually being about romance. I love how they re-introduce Camila into the story. With Luz confronting the fact that, no, she really CAN'T follow through with her original plan, of keeping it secret from her mom and leaving at the end of summer. ... I mean, if nothing else, King would absolutely just randomly show up at her house the moment he got lonely, and then she'd have to figure out some way to explain her best friend/little brother. Yeah, there was no hope of keeping this secret.

I'm sad we didn't really get to see him and Camila interact, that probably would've been really sweet. The Owl Family is really the core of this show, and moments between them and Luz's mom... that would've meant a lot to me.

I dont think that was the reason for canceling. It's disney. And disney hasn't released a production that didn't have LGBT themes in about 10 years. And some are pushed so forcefully that a given production becomes a financial flop. I think the problem was the audience. Owl house was more popular with adults than children. And every Disney production exists only to extract money using children. Also, it's hard to make toys from a show where 90% of the characters are monsters. And not cuddly and furry like from monster inc. At the start this whole show supose to be more mature and dark. But disney dont wanna buy this. So it was childlified.

not necessarily. Disney is not just for kids alone, but they make shows and movies for the entertainment of families, which include adults and kids alike. Disney is THE world's best-known purveyor of children's and adult entertainment. Disney is a leading diversified international family entertainment and media enterprise to entertain, inform and inspire people around the globe through the power of unparalleled storytelling. Thats how Disney views and describes themselves as. Even IF adults liked this show more, the audience went crazy for this show, and is STILL very popular, even though it ended awhile ago now. So I do not believe its because of the audience, because it makes no sense that THAT'S the reason. Disney has always frowned upon the LGBTQIA+ community, which is why so many people within Disney are still fighting for the change in acceptance regarding the LGBTQIA+ community, so I believe THAT'S the prime reason for canceling the show.

@@KyleOttoway I cant agree with that. If thats was the reason then why EVERY disney cartoons wasnt cancel? Problem with disney isnt lack of acceptance of LGBTQUESTIONWHATELSEWECANPUTTHERE. Its forcing this theme to everyone. Thats the reason why disney dying. They dont make any money in last 3 years. Even creator itself said: "...the decision to cancel the show likely wasn’t based on its LGBTQ+ content."

Part of it might have been the LGBTQ+ representation, but honestly I think the biggest factor in its cancellation was Disney really doesn't like serial narratives in shows they think are meant for kids. Disney's meddling is why season 1 was so episodic and had some of the standard cartoon episodes (body swapping, shrinking, etc.), and although they stopped meddling later, I think they decided to cancel it because the show had an older demographic than they wanted due to its serialized nature and mature themes. Or at least that's what I can gather from what little Dana Terrace has said on the subject of the cancellation.
