A most amazing and formidable military spectacle. Bravo to the men and horses all round.

were the bugler and mount that fell okay? It looked as if he came up a bit short on the reins, that and muddy ground don't make for good stops. Anyway, I hope they are both alright. Thanks for posting the video.

The neutral slow march is Bravura. It tends to be played as a quick march when a military band is marching but as it is they are on horseback and has to be slower- it is a geat march. Great video! I have copied a link to another vidio where they play it when the same band are marching kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJuQkKuuhdR3gNU I like the timpani drums in the march!

+Ian Robertson I don't think so. I have many friends from around the world who think this is odd, quaint, emperialistic, out of date, and they ask who pays for it? I tell them I think I do, having paid taxes for 52 years...I am beginning to think also time for change.

+John Young Never never never we are the envy of the world with our pomp and circumstance and a majority of those than complain are sadly masking their real reason jealousy...

+John Young Time for a change John? Why don't you stop whinging and began appreciating there's more to the world than dull grey & khaki and that historic continuity is the pulse of our national life.

I have a post graduate degree in Art History. I researched the archive at Birmingham Polytechnic Now Aston University. I lectured to the Victorian Society on Pre Raphaelte Paintings. Do I think the world is dull grey and khaki? Ah the delight of criticism.

+John Young I have served my country for over 9 years with the Armed Forces and served all over the world I can confirm that the British army has one of the highest if not the highest respect anywhere Think on this whist you were sleeping soundly and securely in your university bed some of us where putting our lives on the line so that you can now walk down the streets without fear, and for that sacrifice you dare to pour scorn and pathetic resentment towards the military DON'T YOU DARE UNTIL YOU HAVE WALKED A MILE IN MY SHOES. ASSHOLE

As an American I am a great admirer of the British armed forces. I especially like the use of horses in military pageantry - something that is no more here in the US.

that was a good show i liked that .what a pity the weather played them up. i wonder what kind of horses are those strange smooth greyish brown ones?they reminded me of weimaraners...i thought they were very nice...altogether a smashing show it must have been...hope that poor horse got better [he just slipped in the mud].. anyway they should do these things more often...it was nice to see them all.

anyone know the neutral slow march during the march past?

Can't find your latest reply but what has your degree in art from Aston University got to do with the debate? btw the word is 'imperial.'
