Ra early is actually quite powerful, he’s my main and when you have 14 farms pumped out with Ptah you can rush heroic in less than 10 min with empower and rain

I’ve been trying Poseidon and leaned into early aggression with Hippeus and Centaurs in the back row. His cavalry is kind of bonkers.

I just started doing this and it's amazing cause your quick and only have to take the fights you want and 3 centaurs 1 shot a villager so you can raid like crazy while opponent can only chase you

13:02 It's true but Loki always shines with Mithical Units and Giants, especially when the Age IV is through Hel Godess. Spamming nonstop Fire Giants is easy win. To sum up Loki should be in at least B group.

Always been a Ra main but nowadays he feels considerably weaker than the other Egyptians. Also empowering a monument allowing you to empower everything around it is a fun idea but isnt it kinda redundant? Since you used to have your priests empower individually now you can just build your production building next to a monument and priests are not required

Its more convenient now at least. The Pharaoh can handle empowerment at all of your main base, and the priests can go deal with things outside it - mainly gold mining around the map.

With Zeus you can get unlimit mirmidons with one tech and few Fortresses, 4th Age gets very overpowered

A lot of the units need to be improved/nerfed etc in patches.

Warrior automaton are so weak right now they are almost pointless for tier 2 units. Really hope units like them are improved in patches. They look bad ass but are pussies in a fight which makes no sense. Hopefully the devs fix that

Hydra is giga-op, while Colossus feels kinda weak(no multiplier vs myth units).

I think the reasoning behind this is that both Colossi and Automatons have ways to self heal, so they balanced it by making them a bit weaker than other units of the same age

How are collossus situational, you spam them late game and there is nothing the enemy can do vs 20 collossus + underworld passage on their base. Minotaur rush early game+collossus rush with underworld passage late game is pretty OP, only thing that can really mess with that are nords and their jarls, makes you have to completelly change strat as Zeus and use archers+infantry and stop with mythic units.

Colossus are terrible vs mass archer for the reason being they are to slow, and the archers with good macro can wipe them

@@stormeagle81x I dare to say that Zeus was the best major greek god in the classic edition. Now Poseidon has better economy and cavalry than before but Zeus is still strong.

@TheMrYadrian I haven't tried poseidan yet in retold. I always thought Gaia's cavalry was much better than his in extended edition

@@stormeagle81x in Classic, the Poseidon was the worst god among Greek Pantheon but in Retold devs gifted him nice bonuses. The similar situation was with Odin - in classic he was the least picked compared to Thor or very popular Loki but now, in Retold, he is much better than Thor.
