MAJOR ISSUE K-MEMBER AND HEADER INSTALL COYOTE SWAP FOXBODY

Man, those headers look like a puzzle! Good luck...and I know you'll get something figured out. I went with BBK long-tubes and a MM K-member, for my swap. I bet if all the exhaust studs were in my heads, I never would've gotten the headers on while the engine was sitting on the K-member. Now you got me thinking too...I need to check and see of the A/C compressor fits on the block and clears my headers. Have a good day, buddy!

Sorry to see the setback. I agree with “cassell” that header manufactures just aren’t at the level they could or should be. At 10 + more years of coyote swapping this should be straight forward anymore. Most street swaps want AC and other accessories. Heck even a shorty or mid length header would suffice. I too am in the process of a Coyote swap in a Fox and will soon be mocking up my selected k member and headers. Anticipating the same issue as you Michael sadly enough, but we will see. Good luck on this and I’m rooting for “us” all. 😊

Those headers would have a 1/4 of clearance at the control arm mount if those 1/4 spacers werent under the motor mount pads and i would put the collector on and modify that front tube withe everthing bolted up tight.

You might look into a spacer going between k-member and where it bolts to the frame… maybe this will give clearance to the AC… they sell at LMR and Maximum Motor Sports….. I have a different k-member and headers ( MMS k-member and ARH headers respectively ) but researching this , that may resolve the issue and give you clearance…..

I find it very frustrating all the headaches that come with aftermarket companies nowdays ! It almost seems as if they do zero in house testing to make sure things not only fit, but aren't a pain in the azz once assembled............. Do better !!!!

Throw those headers away and get some bbk. In 2023 we still hacking coyote swap parts no way.
