Jays problem is hitting, holes at 3rd and DH. Get rid of Turner and Vogelbach and bring up Barger and Martinez. What would you lose? Vogelback and Turner are snail slow and bat about .200 The young guys can do better than that. It would take the GM to admit he was wrong for this to happen.

This is a "next in line" question as much as anything. With Vladdy, Horwitz is the obvious replacement. We don't want Horwitz at second long-term, and while he won't hit for the same power and probably isn't as good with the glove as Vladdy when the pocket doesn't rip wide open, he'll hit for a high average and get rid of some of the goofiness. So it's almost a "5-for-1" rather than a "4-for-1". Bo likely means a domino effect: we'd have to play IKF at short, Schneider at second, and Varsho as the everyday LF, including against lefties. Then we'd have to backfill an OF position as Kiermaier's body means he's not an everyday player now. I don't think we can bring up Orelvis Martinez yet, so that doesn't work. Vladdy's the better choice for that reason. I think we could do better if we held out, though...and the way this year is shaping up, I think we should long term.

WHO CARES. What kind of team gets down by more than 1 run and feels like they take the rest of the game off (being so self-defeating) and continuously disappointing its fans.

Jays need to wait until the deadline; 2-3 games back they become buyers. Jays management will need to offer Vladdy a deal before trade deadline if not accepted they will need to trade him.

Vladdy thinks he's a 40 mil a year for 9 years dude. That's Aaron Judge money and likely Juan Soto as well. He ain't that. Vladdy ain't worth a Bryce Haroer contract either-330m for 13 years.(25m per yr.) Vladdy is a JAG. Get what we can now. VG is a burden on the Jays.
