You agonized over that kinglet on the last turn. Why not just single play the Gould’s finch and save the double play to use with it’s end of game play? That way you keep an extra two eggs until after the end of round goal is scored and still get to play both the kinglet and the goshawk. Thanks for all your thoughtful commentary. Love your work.

Man even note than penguin letting them down the shrikethrush was a real dud! I find that bird to be super streaky. I think the first game I played it I got double digit points but ive definitely had games like this with so few caches.

Was the kinglet mostly there for potential bonus cards? It's worth 2 points minus 2 eggs right? Thought you might chuck it over some of the other options earlier on.

Did you consider taking the last worm with the flycatcher and then play the kea for two bonus cards and 3 points, instead of the redknot for 1 card and 6 points? Maybe 3 points is a bit too much of a sacrifice for one additional bonus card..

Good question, it’s not really an option I even considered. I would say I don’t think it’s worth sacrificing 3 points just to see one more bonus card, I’d rather take the guaranteed points that the red knot gives
