5:05 the toss-up between Crimson Chat and American Woodcock was the most interesting decision point to me in this game! if i already have Hawfinch and my opponent has Red-Winged Parrot, I'm thinking I'll have a relatively stable food supply. and this early end-of-round goal aligns nicely with a grasslands brown power, so in the moment it feels very easy to justify the Chat. but for it to just match the Woodcock, you're locking yourself into 5 egg-laying actions WHILE you have food you don't mind spending. thanks for the insightful commentary. I've played hundreds of hours & feel like I'm still picking up on some of the subtleties.

is it just me, or is the commentary out of sync with the video at the end of round 1? but wow; what an amazing game. that was a master class. there's a reason you ended up with the best record in the MLW regular season.

It then remains out of sync for a few mins/ - commentary seems to be about 25 seconds ahead of the video.

the lack of wetland bird for opponent was really hurting them, also really good to deny the extra card

Why not do catbird first with the nectar you had?, and then crane later?

Do you still skip Pink-Eared Duck if they don't have tuck and draw birds? Normally it is a brown power I don't worry much about because the worse of the top 2 card is generally not that helpful. Those skips were likely the difference in this game though.
