Love a good transportation rework and I do like that you kept it semi-sane. Letting the metro end at more suburban areas instead of dragging it off into the country side. One of my favorite things to consider in Cities is what type of transportation makes sense for what type of areas. Favoring things like Metro for inner city areas, Train for longer country side town to town journeys, and bus as more smaller town transport. Gotta flex the Transport Hierarchy instead of just "Well this carries the most capacity and money is a non-issue."

I gotta say, I remember clearly the difficulty you had fitting those plazas into the space in front of the stock exchange so when you removed them I winced a little 😂 glad you stay fresh and inventive and aren't so attached to old builds.

This is definitely a lot better now that the metro system is more connected. It's alwayss so nice to see all of the sims flooding the metro stations.

Metro always makes such a difference in a city. Nice remake of the metro and expanding upon it🤩 Love watching tons of people flood the infrastructure of metro's and trains.

@overchargedegg Sadly the 1x1 ROJ station is incredibly bugged, most likely a pathing issue which never got resolved. I've used it before and no passengers will use it except the staff. I've had the same problem for the raised platform stations for metro and rail too, as if there's a broken node? I don't think there are any player workarounds or mods to fix it.

The RoJ assets have to be the buggiest CS1 ever had. I've been playing on sobsole for a while, and every single train station and metro from RoJ is exactly like that; no one uses them. Swap them out for something else, and they are busier than a one-armed juggler with crabs!

It’s a shame those ROJ metros weren’t working as I could imagine that the city would have commissioned a new design for all their new stations, but the vanilla one works just as well too. In modded I’ve found it fun to anarchy a metro station underneath an existing high density building and imagine the station’s built into it

I never realized ypu didn't put that metro hub. Great redesign of the metro system! I wanna look back at older episodes and see if there are areas I wouldn't mind seeing redeveloped. Cheers!

@OVERCHARGEDEGG I thought of a spot and double checked...it's in epi 4 where u have an old industrial area that was built to meet demand. Of course those days are long gone. As for what to build that idk. You could put a specialized industry esp if you have industry building assets you haven't used or go green cities to show OE is eco friendly. This was the episode with you building up the waterfront. Idk just a thought! Cheers!

Really liking these kinds of episodes, although the Haven metro in specific feels a bit strange. It does nothing the rail line didn't already do and the stops are so far apart for a metro!

The Japanese metro station is really a good fit for more suburban or less built up/dense areas because it looks more realistic than a hole in the ground. Most realistic in less built up areas though would be to have it over ground because building the tunnels would be too expensive compared to the need in than kind of area

Love this series! Also my city has a nice feature that i use in every city i like paint all the bus/etc lines the same color because its just realistic like irl

I replaced one of my metro stations with the 1x1 ROJ station, and it works. Getting over 600 uses per week. I can click on the metros (when they're above ground) to track them, and they definitely exchange riders on and off. However, I use the Transfer Manager CE mod that fixes several issues with networks (mainly for industry DLC). It doesn't mention fixing the ROJ station, but perhaps its better path-finding works around the issue. Or, maybe one of the settings in Traffic Manager fixes it (I use that mod too). Finally, make sure to set your stop correctly. The 1x1 station pinches the rail down to a single track, so you can only set up a stop right in the middle.

i do prefer trams and trains in combination with a little bus support on the outskirts and metro only in the center. all that metro building so many players do, i find the overreliance on metro in the game a bit weird, well not as weird as the blimbs and helicopters of course, which i don't care for. sadly there seems to be some bug with the trams lately that causes them to get stuck for no reason. had one standing around blocking everything just today, very weird.

I have the railroads of japan ccp and i always prefer using the metro entrance over using the regular underground metro station simply because the metro entrance has an elevator, meaning that the station is accessible. The regular underground metro station doesn’t have one, meaning that it is not. For busier areas you can also have the small metro terminal. That one has an elevator too. It’s sad that the metro entrance is bugged. However if you place it in lower density areas it’s, fine, i guess…

Looks like the ROJ station is one-way, that’s probably why it limits the amount of passengers

It's not, the ROJ metro stations have major pathing issues, whether its to do with the assets not having pathing out and in, but both the 1x1 and the elevated train stations have this bug as if there's a broken node or something stopping them from entering.

Yeah the ROJ 1 tile station never worked. I filed a bug report for it in pdx forum back then but never got a response.

ROJ 1x1 doesn't work and the elevated stations, broken nodes causing passengers to gather or path outside and never go in.

Noob Yolk and Orchid bay vids just get me to uninstall that game couse even watching them i still suck at this game ;-D But yeah your Vids and Citys are still great!
