The fighter roads, unless I'm misreading the document they released on it, is honestly a massive game changer to me. The fact that they're retiring fighter currency and you can unlock characters in a more old fashioned way is something I'm sure will excite a lot of people who feel like grinding to purchase characters was a major turn off initially. I just really hope it doesn't come with too many caviates. Also Raven actually looks pretty sweet. About time we got a new mage type in the game

It'll be a nerf overall. Before you could stockpile the FC and snap-buy any new fighter coming out. Now you won't be able to proactively grind, they'll take more control of your schedule. Ofc the numbers could still be generous but it's a more rigid system. Not to mention that other than that, it's only a visual change. Before, you did missions to get FC to get chars. Now you'll do missions to get chars. Hardly any different but they give you the illusion that it's "new content". I could be wrong ofc but that's the impression I got.

I feel like how they're handling the Rift difficulties are fine. Would it be nice to have more than two difficulties? Sure. But I don't want them to go back to how they were during Season 1, that was horrible (and I say this as someone that still likes Rifts)

They actually is, they’ve sped up the game but more specifically the fast falling, they been talking about making the short hops real short hops which is very important along with fast falling, then u know the shields is coming and after that honestly we need a offline version for the competitive scene then we need manual techs because auto is just not right

hmmm.... if fighter currency is no longer available... what benefit will toast give you? what will you unlock for levelling up characters? and will we only be recieving perk currency toast and gleamium for infinite tiers? because that ties back into my first question. i'm aware you don't have the answers, but i feel it's important to put the questions out there.

I never used "toasting" as a way to earn fighter currency. I always "toasted" people when they fought well or fair so I think that'll still be the purpose, at least in my opinion

Maybe theyll make each battlepass 50 levels and have them be 5 weeks each, to reduce the amount of infinite rewards people end up getting and push people to play more for tangible rewards. Probably have one character on each battlepass.

I've seen a lot of concern on the reddit for the Fighters Road, but from what I can tell it's mostly just because there isn't enough info on how much XP you get and they're so used to the FC way of unlocking characters. I'm hoping FC will be usable as a sort of converter currency, where you can choose per character to use FC and transfer it into XP (at a different rate, maybe 1 FC = 3 XP or something) because I'd hate to constantly have 450 FC with no way to just get rid of it unless I somehow get more. Overall though I think this is a great change, excited for the Into the Verse that hopefully explains everything. Also it's mentioned Raven will be part of the Fighter Road on the 15th, 3 days after the launch of the season, so I'm guessing she's releasing day of the new season for gleamium with the earnable option in 3 days. That also probably means Marceline is the Battle Pass character (unless they decide to do away with that, but there's no info on if that's happening), so potentially two characters off the bat this season.

There's still some things about the Fighter Road I'm still not clear on. Like, do you get fighter XP no matter which character you play as, and does the fighter XP get applied to ever character you haven't unlocked yet? And how do you get XP for a specific character that you want? I'm also still not clear on what happens to the remaining fighter currency when the new season starts. I think I only have around 1000 fighter currency, so what will happen to that when the new season starts? I need to see how the Fighter Road will work to have a more definitive opinion on it, but I hope it'll be better than the fighter currency. I still wish the was a way to purchase every current and upcoming character for the people who don't want to grind to unlock every character.

From what I read, the Fighter Currency will still be in the game to use, but you will not be able to get more. With that in mind, spend it however you want. I'm probably going to spend mine on characters I want immediately like Marceline.

Even though I'm a little bit salty that they're taking the Min-Min route of bringing in Marceline despite being a *RINGOUT ANIMATION!!* At least Yosemite Sam and Spike the Dog may have a chance to appear in the future. If anything, since we're getting *ANOTHER DC CHARACTER* for this next season, this gives me some hope to see Sonic characters into Multiversus!!

Spirits should've *NEVER* had the chance to still become fighters and the fact we had *TWO (or threee if you count Mytthra)* this serves *NO PURPOSE* if they're still gonna be fighters *ANYWAY!!* As for the last bit, with word with DC teaming up with Sega, they now have a chance to give Nintendo the middle finger for forever *RUINING* the DLC!!! Not to be pessimistic, but I'm a bit worried that Fighter Road might be too grindy. They keep changing things and adding new features but a lot of them have hurt enjoyment of the game. I was thinking FR would be another way to get characters. Not the new ONLY way (minus paying real money for them) to get characters. Hopefully it's not too grindy. I'm saying this as someone who loved how we could unlock content back then by just playing the game. I'm also curious to see what the incentive will be for the Battle Pass if Raven isn't a part of it.
