Once the coral has grown to the surface of the tank all we can do is cut it out and start over. This is a good thing :)

I think the tank looks way better! More room for corals and a change of scenery.

Lol you can tell the mrs wasn’t home with the use of the kitchen countertop 😂

You needed a dremel while you were in the kitchen. 😁 tank is looking good Scott. That center section will fill in well.

Dremel is definitely the right tool for the job. I really didn’t expect the coral to come out like that Lol

Like the new open place on the right. It is brighter and much room for more corals. I agree with you pulling the big lethers. I would frag them an keep a nice peace of each coral and create the same open and bright spot like the left side for more nice corals. Keep on reefing and greets from Berlin germany

Scott, every couple of years , I move things around in my reef tank to get a new fresh look, My wife sometimes moves the furniture around to change things up. I like what you are doing, I have no doubt your tank will look great again when you are done.

It looks better! - or I guess more accurately it will look better. The corals were just angry but even without too many new additions it will fill in nicely once they settle. Next time - of course there will be a next time, try using a small hacksaw to cut the monti's. Obviously a bandsaw is ideal but even a hand saw you'll get more control then just smashing at it.
@MileHighReefers3 жыл бұрын
Great suggestion might have to try that
