Major Scale For Bass Guitar

This is a simple bass lesson on the Major Scale for beginners. I'll be working through a basic fingering for a C Major Scale, then showing you how to move that shape around the neck.
Major Scales are one of the fundamental elements of music and are essential in understanding the most basic aspects of music theory.

As a drummer I have found that learning the bass made my drumming more intense, vicious and slick yet controlled and knowing more where I need to be from knowing exactly where my bassist is. Beautifully taught I'm joining. I'm on Scotts school, jam play, and creative bass but all make it more complicated than this chap. Simplify for The beginners. Otherwise we are stuck as beginners and cheat to learn a few robotic songs that ultimately keep one stifled. Thanks.

i been learning bass for while Mark. my sister said I'm between novice and intermediate , but I feel I need to see your lesson videos, as family suggested, and learn more about all the notes. by now I should be playing some songs and all. like they said tho, timing get you everytime. ty for your time of putting together videos, to continue the love of the bass and of music, along with love for ppl to teach us. I'm not criticizing myself, but what a lot ppl may pick up on pretty quick, takes me a bit longer to process, but when I do, it sounds good. my finger positions are better and stretching fingers too Ty for videos

You would never imagine the importance of what u taught here most time people are playing but you can't necessarily see what their fingers are touching but saying this was most important 2ND FINGERS 4TH FINGERS 1ST 2ND 4TH FINGERS 1ST 3RD 4TH FINGERS.... I always get that zapping sound whenever I play a note in the major scales and it always annoy me. I rarely get a petfect sounding major scale run-off. Most times it zaps and causes those bad sounds.

@Boba Fett to my knowledge there’s two things that could cause that: 1. You aren’t pressing down hard enough, or 2. You’re pressing down in the wrong spot, either too far away from the fret or on top of the fret. Try and aim for just behind the fret.
