If they stole it and Thomas wasn't *at least* a multi-millionaire then there would be 0 chance they would have to go to court--which is sadly exactly always how all inventions go, all you can do is either hope a large company will take you under fairly or sell it and hope that people will buy yours and not the fake.

You're missing a big advantage here. A) no potential legal issues. Even if you win they suck still B) 50k people who never heard of their company now SUPER interested in a product C) a underdog backstory for their product. D) very very high chance of this becoming a viral story if they make the fan. Every benefit listed above, for the price of licensing a fan from a solo developer who isn't going to charge the premium most companies would. This is already decent marketing for that cost, and has the potential to be worth far far more. It's a good business decision.

A few things about Thomas's fan, 1st off, if you can design something that looks that good in just 30 mins, what can you design if you took your time?! 2ndly, making a fan that's practically has nearly the same delta in that same time, what can you do if you had your own testing rig & you just kept at it to improve it, what would you end up with in a few days, a week, & even a months time of testing?! Chances are, you would easily beat that fan hands down! So, what I'm saying is Thomas, you're an OP designer! Great job, & hope for the best with it!

That's awesome that the company wants to work with him. Back in 2004 I started using the front cover of a Mead 5 Star notebook. I cut out that front plastic cover and glued it to an actual mouse pad. It was so slippery you could tap the mouse on it's side and the mouse would glide across the pad. Anyhow, I tried finding out what kind of material the cover was made out of. For 3 years I tried to find something about the material. I even contacted Mead and they told me it was proprietary and couldn't tell me. Then I went to McMaster Car and they didn't have anything like it. So long story shorter, I got fed up and emailed Razer and told them about the 5 Star Notebook. They never got back to me but, a year or 2 or 3 later and now (back then) they have a hard plastic mouse pad, that feels suspiciously like a Mead 5 Star Notebook.

For your benchmarks consider a 4” duct section after the fan, exiting through a restriction at the end (smaller hole). Tap the duct with a 1/4” port on the top and run a clear tube in a U shape to make a water column to measure static pressure. Consider going full measurement and setup a pitot tube to fully measure your fan testing. I do like your approach to measure the ultimate goal which is heat transfer though.

It's now been 5 years since I had to move on after an accident. Still, after 15 working working with wet concrete sludge (from core drilling, wall and diamon wire saws) - *everything* feels smooth AF. Even 80 grit sandpaper.

The real issue here is how the hell are you using your email folders and do we need a competition on best email folder setup made from resin?

The Acceleron design is like it is straight out of a SciFi movie, like transformers or so... it looks totally awesome high tech futuristic. While at the same time you proof here that its cooling capabilities are top notch at the same time! So you got a winner on your hands Thomas; way to go bro! Get some good biz advise ;-). My guess is that WE WILL see this design in future graphics cards; this is what gaming enthousiast may want in their case; so manufacturers may get into it.

why is there no accoustic testing? smoother surface means less turbulance, so the new print coulb be less noisy. really interested to see how this design compares to the a25 in niose, as it is comparable in performance.
