There is also the part in Rangdan Xenocides where Void Dragon is released by the Emperor to beat Rangdan. The OutSider is out there on the edge of Galaxy waiting and ploting its revenge on the Eldar because Cegorach tricked it into eating other C'tan So not only the Eldar have Slaanesh to worry about they also have a Non Sharded, fully form insane C'tan. The Tau start realizing that if they worship the Greater Good as a real God, they have a warp contender for themselves as well Pair it with the fact that they finally make titans and are expanding just as fast with their new built FTL engines. Add in the part where Farsight finally kills and bitch slaps every Goddamn Ethereal and all the Tau have access or rather are allowed to make Lifespan increasing medicine and All types of weapons making them 50/50 melee pewpew. Also I can see them 100% allying with the Eldar or Humanity in this point in time IF all the primarchs and especially the GOD EMPEROR BY THIS POINT (who was and is STILL a man of science and innovation) I don't see any reason for them not to atleast consider fighting together knowing that by this point, the primarchs would be more mature than 40k years ago and Big E being desperate to win the great game Mega OP Railgun/Onager Gauntlet large space empire Tau would also be a Great end times Contender.

They are very different, the c'tan were pretty much sentient left over energy from the big bang which was later given a corporeal body, while the chaos gods are sentiments and emotions of large amounts of individuals given shape and mind

Think of the C'tan like a pond, it's just a singular body of water not being fed by a larger one. Their whole existence is already out there. Chaos gods are like lakes or rivers, they have a constant source of more water from a larger body of water. Their existence is constantly being replenished.

Several things wrong: The Necrotyr civil war happened because the Necron dynasties were divided and the silent king used the Old Ones as a scapegoat to unite his people to fight an external threat (using the promise of immortality to entice them to join together), The Necrons did win the war in Heaven (not maybe) the old ones were burned out of the universe forever and the only reason the Eldar rose up was because the Necrons rebelled against the C'tan after the war and they didn't have the power left after shattering the star gods. I know its comedy but its just wrong. The Eldar and Humanity are the retards of the setting, the Necrons were completely logical in their conclusions and decision making they were just lied to and had no Idea how much missing your soul would suck.

I’m torn on the C’Tan. I liked their original 4th edition lore where there was just a handful of them left, none of this shard bullshit, and the Necrons were their collective bitches out trying to capture people so their gods could eat their souls. On the other hand, I prefer Necrons now, as they now have personalities and character, whereas before they were all basically mindless zombies, but I really dislike them having gotten one over the C’Tan. I’d prefer a happy medium where the Necrons still have personalities but are still the collective bitches of the C’Tan, who are clearly running things. Also, the Necrons using the webway is bullshit. They were the only race with FTL that was independent of the warp. It would’ve been nice if they’d kept that.
