Know no fear is my favorite 40k novel, followed by horus rising, and deliverance lost. 189,000 ultramarines, representing a full or elements of 20 of the 25 chapters in the ultramarines, and 50,000 word bearers. 116, 000 ultramarines died, with a further 28,000 crippled. That left about 44,000 ultramarines left by the end of calth, add that to the 61,000 ultramarines that were scattered in ultrmar or other places, that still left about 105,000 ultramarines left immediately after calth, tho the ultramarines would recover in time. I think the reason why people end up liking the 13th legion is when they find out about their primarch.. coz roboute is not special in the way his brothers are.. no warp magic, no stealth, no anti-psyker abilities, no master forging.. he's "just" a guy, the everyman among the primarchs.. in that way he's more relatable than his other brothers coz he's closer to human in comparison and yet he's extremely capable and intelligent not to mention his willpower is just as high or even higher than his brothers.. he got stabbed by the same chaos knife that corrupted horus and shrugged it off, got tempted by fulgrim's crown of victories only to rip it off his head a few seconds after realizing what it was.. he's also the most fair amongst his brothers and actually listens to people..

@The_EntropistАй бұрын
@@davidsekhleyan693 No brother, you need to read more HH books to understand the big picture. Lorgar and Erebus goal was to setup the Long War for Chaos, They never wanted to truly defeat the Emperor, because Chaos needs eternal conflict, that’s why Horus was a puppet all along and was sacrificed for this purpose. that’s why the Word Bearers legion is still united when all other traitors legions have became warbands That’s why Lorgar was elevated to Daemon Prince of Chaos Undivided The Imperial Truth got obliterated by the Imperial Creed written by Lorgar, And 10.000 years later the Imperium is still fighting the Long War of the Word Bearers, full of religious fanatics and zealots exactly like Lorgar wanted the Imperium to be. Why do you think Roboute had turbo depression when he came back in 40k and realized it all ? The Word Bearers actually won, Thats the whole point of the Heresy, That’s why the Imperium is like that in 40k, That’s why you should really REALLY HATE Lorgar. Simply because proper planning and they're the best when it comes to overall attrition warfare. They may take the most losses, but that's about it. Also, BobbyG Gorillaman not falling to Chaos just further makes Fulgrim like a weak sloot for falling into Chaos, making Rylanors insults burn brighter.
