@@alastor8091 I did some quick research and there are 1400 quadrillion liters of ocean on Earth, and the human population there is somewhere in the quadrillions, however unclear how many quadrillion. It takes only a couple of years for the population to consume the equivalent of Terra's oceans so it makes sense why the planet is dried up

During their fight, Angron managed to grab Sanguinius 's spears and then threw it at him with such strength that the spear made a sonic boom. Sanguinius not only dodged it but he fucking grabbed the spear - Angron himself couldn't believe it - and threw it back, impaling the demon primarch to the ground.

One thing I always liked about Blood Angel lore is that they take twisted irradiated mutant humans, throw Sanguinius gene seed in them and they come out of the blood coffins looking like giga chads. Gene seed powerful enough to take the worst and make them the best. Solid gene father

Whether he could take on post-Molech Horus is the real debate. Considering the Angel slew a daemon prince & came out completely unharmed himself, and the Emperor didn't feel like dueling him way back when, and Leman Russ was able to deal a fatal blow to Horus (which he only survived because his Chaos stores made up the difference) in one on one combat, it's probably safe to say that if this guy were to end up on the bridge of the Vengeful Spirit during the Heresy that it'd be a different Primarch laying broken and dead on the floor. After the final siege of terra book comes out id play the shit out of a game where you can play as the golden Hawkboy and follow his story. Even if you know how it ends. End the game with an elden ring style boss run. By the end you're raging, tired, and low on health but you have to hold out just long enough for the emperor to arrive and then the end happens

Sanguinius is my favorite Primarch because of how he is set on a pedestal of being the beacon of perfection(suck it Fulgrim XD), despite that it didn't let him get to his head and his humility still unwavered, he as a child lived because of the compassion of his adoptive family on baal, if it weren't for them he would of been executed for being a mutant. He tried getting along with his siblings despite how some of them were very unstable. Imo he's like 40K's Zhao Yun(ROTK) or Arthurian mythos Galahad, the shining beacon of hope unwavering purity and being a very great duelist they could take on entire armies singlehandedly, confident yet with a pinch of humility never letting their greatness get into their head.

Then once the Emperor is wounded the gods abandon Horus, as their job is done. Horus is left realising what he’s done and allows himself to be destroyed by the dying Emperor. That would actually be a twist and not ruin established lore. Sanguinius killing Horus is really a big anticlimax

Fighting nonstop right next to Rogal Dorne and Jagthia Khan and Vulkan besides killing snakes and traitors he was visiting injured troops or giving speeches to encourage and rally the morale the troops If our Hawk Boy fought freshly vs Horus it would’ve been a great fight or even regular Horus would get his ass whooped

The other theory as to why Sanguinius didn't kill Horus, is that he still loved Horus as his most loved brother. Thus when the time came to fight Horus, Sanguinius was unable to fully tap into his rage as he had done before against demons and Angron. With the black rage empowering him, Sanguinius could have killed Horus, but without it, Sanguinius was outmatched by the Demon God empowered Horus and so that final chink in Horus's armor was all he was able to do to Horus.

@@Keemperor40K No. Sanguinius didn’t kill Horus because he couldn’t. He had foreseen that it had to be him dying at Horus’s feet on the Vengeful Spirit. It was him that had to put the chink in Horus’s armor for Big E to exploit, just as it was Leman Russ’s job to stab Horus with Big E’s spear. Sanguinius dying was the spark that finally made the Emperor fight with his true power, whereas he was holding back prior, and go Revelation mode on Horus. The people who claim the Emperor has no love for his sons ignore moments like these. Even in the current timeframe, when the Emperor possesses Guilliman and BTFO’d Mortarion in Nurgle’s garden, the Emperor wants to redeem his son. The only Primarch that it appears the Emperor isn’t willing to try is Magnus, though why is unknown.

Even after Magnus screws up the Webway Project but before he goes in and literally kills Malcador (who, as you know, needed to take Big E’s place holding back Chaos while Big E handles Horus), Magnus still had a choice. Big E was willing to forgive Magnus for the webway, but Magnus couldn’t believe it.

I understand (to an extent) why it *seemed* necessary **at the time**, but it did kinda completely squander what the emperor had worked to achieve. I know it’s cringy when the cogboys talk about “tech-heresy,” but in the case of the G-man, he literally asserted that he knew what was better for the emperor’s creation than the emperor himself. Again, I totally understand why he thought it was necessary, but for the breaking of the legions and the installation of the High Lords (which directly led to Goge “Pope of All Popes and Keeper of the Choir Boys” Vandire), I see Guilliman as a bit shortsighted, but ultimately good for the Imperium. Jury’s still out on primaris, tho

I don't think it was his physical death that started the black rage, the black rage was always there but was held back by Sanguinius and when he let loose. This connects him to his warriors and then when he does it was the chapters lament combined with Sanguinius' loss of control is why they are messed up today. Like he unlocked it but died before he could contain it again.

I have a small theory where , basically in an ideal work where the primarchs weren't changed . Sanguinious and angron would work together with sanguinious always battling his inner evil angron would simply remove his limiters with his ability to remove his pain they would make a killer combo . Where the two berserk legions with the strongest leader combo they would demolish humanity's foes

The interesting part for me is that when Dante saw Sanguinius in his vision in Devastation of Baal, the sanguinor was a separate entity NOT the primarch himself or even an aspect. I think it proves the idea that the Sanguinor is someone else, likely Azkelleon or Raldoron

Twistedly, Sanguinius is kind of the bright reflection of Fulgrim. Both were kinda 'perfect' in their own way. Sanguinius was mutated, but overcame his insecurity and doubt. Fulgrim was brilliant, charismatic, and excelled at basically everything with ease so long as he could keep his ego and insecurity in check. If Fulgrim had displayed the mental fortitude Sanguinius did, things would have been very, very different. Instead, he turned into probably the worst thing in the whole setting.

It would be so tragic that Sangy did all that, and ultimately it was the Emperor himself who had to take him behind the shed and put him down. To be honest it’s pretty perfect for the 40K universe but would still be probably the most tragic moment in the setting. And would make for an interesting reunion if we ever got one in a hypothetical “end times” style finale, seeing how Dante has that prophecy about the golden figure saving the Imperium.

I think something I always like about sanguinius too is that while his armor is super badass and im sure it is powered like the others, it still looks like normal armor that is shaped to fit around his normal shape rather than these 3 foot round knee to foot leg pieces or power fists that make your hand a foot and a half wide. Those are cool as hell but it's also damn impressive that sanguinius says "nah, cover me with metal, but no power fists, just give me a sword" ya know. I mean obviously it's leagues more complicated than that but you understand my point. He's awesome because he's awesome

Sanguinius is my favorite Primarch. Dude is the living embodiment of You are not my death and proceeds to wreck shit. He also suffered from doubt making him mortal and sudo human. He learned from each encounter and grew from it. While he might have Light and Dark within him, they work in tandem. They were not what defined the Angel, it was his actions that defined him. He loved his legion, Big E and the citizens of the Imperium. He looked death in the eyes and refused to blink. That is why he is my favorite. While he was the most likely to succumb to the influence of Chaos. He said nah fuck that shit and proceeded to make his own path. I really hope the fan theory is correct. Horus stood no chance against Sanguinius if he fell to the Black Rage. A fresh Sanguinius would have curbed stomped Horus any and every day of the week. A Black Rage Sanguinius would have taken that to a whole new level. It would also explain the hesitation for Big E. Horus would have just been bitch slapped into oblivion without a second thought. Sanguinius though would have invoked a true emotional response from Big E. Sanguinius was his son, someone who knew him right away and trusted him and his plan, even though he did not know everything. Sanguinius from one word knew volumes of meaning and understanding of who Big E was. Of all the Primarchs Sanguinius was truly Big E's son. I think the mere fact that Guilliman is now considered the new coming emperor, him having the ability to recognise that Sanguinius was truly the best of them all, plus ages later as I said Guilliman now the last chance at humanity surviving gave Dante the epitome of a blood angel an incredibly large territory to hold and defend considering he is a mere space marine, chapter master at that I know but still, just makes you recognise that the blood angles and their gene father were truly the pinnacle of the imperium.

I think people forget what a mary sue is. Mary sues are perfect characters with no flaws. Sanguinius is just insanely OP and very well liked. His flaws are internal which some people just seem to ignore

Thing is Sanguinius isn't a mary sue because he also has flaws, he despite being the beacon of perfection, has insecurities within him trying to live up to expectation of his father and to humanity(while to a degree being considered a mutant which almost got him killed if not for the kindness of his tribe have spared him), being able to see the future and like his genesons was able to fall to the red thirst, he bottles it up so those he inspires won't falter. Unlike Curze who is the Primarch similar to him and his legion also being a bunch of crazy bloodthirsty Marines and the Primarch being able to see the worse possible outcomes in the future, unlike Sanguinius he doesn't hide the fact he's a flawed son of the Emperor and bitches about how his dad made him that way, a monster who strikes fear in the night.

I just listened to echoes of eternity and I confirm sanguinius was very severely wounded and exhausted when he battled horus. Portions of his wings were featherless, and had a spear stuck to it..His armor looked like shit..An imperial fist was helping him remove another spear that was lodged on his armor using surgical swords his face and hair was all bloodied...He destroyed a titan then He beat kha bandha after a hard fought battle, then angron appeared shortly and they dueled. All that maybe in a span of 3 straight days of fighting. If he wasnt that tired He might have lasted longer against horus.
