Leutin has a good talking point about the Ultramarines, they were one of the biggest factors in the Horus Heresy. Horus sent them all the way to the opposite side of the galaxy and then sent the largest traitor legion to fight them and had to summon a warp storm to keep them occupied. When he found out they were coming, he gambled on fighting Big E personally instead of trying to fight them with his own forces. They could've won the heresy, and they failed. They didn't win, they arrived late. They failed and they've lived with that shame since. that's why they're trying to be the best space marine's because they weren't good enough before. That's what goes through their minds. That's why they kicked so much ass during the scouring and why they're Primarch is the Avenging Son.

Would he still be locked away for the second time like in canon? Unlikely. Will he be kept a secret or revealed to the public? How would the Imperium react? How would Custodes react? If he is still around then how would Gulliman react to a brother that shares his burden but one he never knew? Since his memories have been erased would he believe the Angel to be one of the lost Primarchs? How would the other factions react? Specifically Chaos. Would the Blood Angels see him as Sanguineous reborn? Would he be willing to play into that? Would he be willing to take the Lamenters under his wings after all they've been through?

@@ЯрОк-и2й Does he even exist anymore in the current Canon? Gman wouldnt think hes one of the Lost Primarch, since he knew them. He wouldnt "feel" like a Brother either, if the Angel doesnt have a Warpsoul like the Rest. With a Shard of the Emperor he would be exactly that. A Part of their Father So no Sanginius 2.0 either
@ЯрОк-и2й25 күн бұрын
@@fuchsmichael93 1 GW didn't officially retcon him, so probably still canon. 2 He knows they existed but It doesn't seem like the Primarchs remember many details about them, their memory of them, at least partially erased. 3 Both Lorgar and Sanguinius had an aura and presence extremely similar to that of the Emperor. We also don't know how exactly he was made, so It's not impossible for him to posses the special source like the other Primarchs.

Tbf with the situation between Alpharius and Omegon and Guilliman and Dorn, it seems like they ended up just meeting the wrong one. Dorn hated the one he knew about because of how he had won a planet without showing the Imperium's strength via the usual Alpha Legions tactics of infiltrating, converting, and then taking over where as Dorn wanted to bring the planet to kneel through strenght. Meanwhile the one Guilliman dealt with was the complete opposite in that they went overkill on a world that didn't need such action. It very much feels like had the two been swapped, Alpharius might have been more liked by the two rather than having given the bad impression to both Dorn and Guilliman.

Horus was insecure about Gman. Always keeping him in his mind even when horus got the tittle of Warmaster he thought that Gman wanted the title for himself. Even during the heresy, horus was quoted saying guilliman knows war like he does. He just wish that he doesn't. And lamenting the fact that guilliman was not on his side. Most primarch didn't hate Guilliman but rather some specific aspects of himself. Yes, Guilliman was efficient in his job, most than the rest of his brothers, but that's not really the part that was disliked about him, on the contrary he was respected for how competent and reliable he was. However, just like the rest of his brothers, he had issues... Sanguinius said it best during the horus heresy when he stayed on Maccrage : Guilliman is a politician, and he hated the role he had devised for him as symbol of the Imperium for his future projects. Guilliman was insufferably arrogant at times, to the point of competing with Leman Russ when it comes to Ego (which is a feat by itself). Always acting like "I know better so follow my plan", which tended to rub his brothers the wrong way and not just a little. It showed particularly with the splitting of the legions : half of the loyalist primarchs were against it, so what did Guilliman do ? He pushed it anyway, regardless of the opinion of his brothers and fact it could've led to another civil war. And despite it, his brothers still cared for him. Sanguinius despised the politician, but saw the brother behind that role he gave himself and loved what he saw there. Rogal respected him deeply, even though his insuferrable haughtiness caused him headaches. Jaghataï appreciated how reliable his brother constantly was, despite the fact he was constantly trying to keep him contained (the Khan hates when people tries to decide things for him) Etc. Just from memory, the two primarch that really disliked Guilliman were Lorgar and Horus, outside of these two, I wouldn't say that he was hated. He was no sanguinius, but he was no Konrad either.

3:26 They were not on par with each other. Once Lion was found, he turned the DAs around and had them storming up the win list to the point where they surpassed the Wolves and were #2, only missing top spot to the Luna Wolves. This was a big reason why Horus didn't like Lion much; he was looking over his shoulder and marveling at his rapid success without knowing much about him.
@sarethuskami508225 күн бұрын
Depends. Thing is the Lion (and many of his brothers) goes for the Total Anhilation type of war-fare. G-Man meanwhile goes for diplomatic acquisition of planets and even when he fights, tries to minimise damage and rebuild a working/loyal planet. So G-Man is 'slower' then others. On the other hand? He brings in planets that are loyal and are able to fully contribute to the Imperium and the Crusade immediately. The Lion...well the Imperium has to transport settlers and re-build infrastructure and take a few decades before his conquered planets would be anything worthwhile to the Imperium. ------------------------------------------------ This is not a knock on the Lion. The Emperor himself stated that he would be sending the Lion against enemies he wanted GONE and DESTROYED, etc. This is the type of war he was suited for. G-Man meanwhile was suited for a different type of war.
