Criminally under-appreciated, one of my favorite lesser-known gems. From Russian director Timur Bekmembetov. There's no sequel but if you want to see some similar mayhem with a generous helping of dark fantasy, check out his gothic action/horror "Night Watch" (2004)

First thing I ever saw James McAvoy in was Children of Dune miniseries on the Sci-fi channel in 2003 as Leto II, and I liked him immediately. He's also great in Atonement (2007) with Keira Knightly.

Interesting choice. Not familiar with many reactors covering this, if any. Saw in theaters, very impressed. Got two Oscar nominations for its technical work as well. The bizarre thing is, I was asking myself during the confrontation when the truth is learned: “Huh. Wouldn’t it be a weird twist if HE was the father?” Strange how I predict these things sometimes.

When I first got married my husband and I did not have cable and this is one of the movies that we bought on DVD from walmart. I would play this movie all the time. Funny fact - the Russians helped in the creation of this film. The actor playing an explosives expert and a rat lover is Konstantin Khabensky, a very famous Russian actor. And the director of this film is the famous Russian director Timur Bekmambetov, his name you can see at the beginning of the credits. By the way, Timur and Konstantin, before the filming of this film, were acquainted, as they used to work together.

Love this movie so I was stoked when I heard about the game back in the day. Pretty fun for a couple play throughs but the movie hits differently especially with Morgan Freeman as a villain. The butcher is honestly my favorite character, the training and the revenge scene cracks me up 😂

*I love Angelina Jolie's character, FOX,* I respect the fact that because she truly believe in the code, she didn't acted against the code, if her name came up and the name of the rest of the assassins came, then she made sure to stay true to the code and killed them and her, and also in doing so giving Wesley a chance to survive and Kill Sloan... I do believe that because Sloan became corrupted and kept assigning the rest of the assassins the targets that he chose instead of fate, it's the reason why the rest of the assassins unknowingly became a target (or corrupted) it was Sloans fault, *I didn't wanted Fox to die, but at least she died being true to herself and her believes.* *Thank you for your awesome reaction* 👍 *this movie is a vibe, I don't care if it defies the laws of physics, it's based on a comic book 📚😂 it's not trying to be more than what it is.* *Please react to "Salt" is another Angelina Jolie movie, she is a spy agent, another banger.* For what you said I think you have reacted to "Mr and Mrs Smith" if not please do, it's another fun 🍿 🎥 to watch 😊

Love this movie but I wish they had kept the original plot from the comicbook. Wesley is the son of a supervillain living in a world in which the supervillains have taken over. Using science and magic they have removed the memory of superheroes from the world. When Wesley is brought into the Fraternity he goes on a crime and murder spree because he is now legally untouchable. Also Wesley was drawn to look like rapper Eminem and Fox looked like Halle Berry.

@@MajorReacts Yeah man the whole conflict of the original story wasn’t good vs evil. It was more along the lines of relative evil vs straight up evil. Wanted came out about a month after the first Iron Man movie. Had it come out a few years later into the prime MCU/DCEU era, I think they would have went for it.

A prequel would`ve been better. The story of Cross joining the Fraternity, making friends with Exterminator (who then stayed as his only contact inside the organization) and discovering Sloan`s corruption. No one dead yet, Morgan Freeman is back, Angelina is back, Kretschmann, Khabensky, Common, everyone. Even McAvoy could`ve made a cameo appearance as young Wesley watched over by Cross. But sadly many years have passed since, the opportunity`s gone. Bekmambetov has a bad story with making sequels. Many fans are still waiting for "Twilight Watch". 🤷‍♂

I never understood the dislike this movie got. Was it a deep and interesting story? No not really but, it's an action movie, you shouldn't really be expecting that out of this genre. I'd say it has an average to slightly above average plot for an action movie. Nothing groundbreaking but, just enough twists in the story to keep it entertaining. Obviously the cast and acting is on point. The CGI and action scenes were great for their time. I really don't understand what people really didn't like about this movie.

@@MajorReacts I think it’s they didn’t stay true to the original comic book plot. This is way watered down. Wesley and Fox originally were not heroic. They were just morally bereft people in a world in which evil had won. Had they followed the real plot this movie would have been NC-17.
