I interviewed several glass shops to replace the windshield on my 1984 anniversary edition Mustang GT 350 convertible. I decided to use a local shop like you and regretted it the moment I left. They put a big gouge in my otherwise perfect dash pad and the windshield leaked out of the rear view mirror every time it rained.

1. When I want to look in on the progress of the repair are you going to tell me that your shop insurance policy doesn’t allow me in the shop area? 2. Which one of these techs is going to do the work? 3. How many windshields have they done and how many 1984 anniversary edition GT 350 Mustang convertible windshields have they done. 4. Are they going to use a metal scraper and scrape all the paint off the window frame to remove old sealant so that it rusts and the windshield falls in, in the future? 5. Is it going to leak? What are you going to do if it leaks? 6. I have inspected every inch of this 1984 anniversary edition Mustang GT 350 convertible and I will be highly disturbed should any damage occur to the vehicle.

Yep,looks like a blend door spline to me..Good luck Major....

I believe the part i found was actually part of the recirculation blend door and not a result of the windshield replacement

My 1965 Ford Mustang with factory under the dash air conditioning had a wet floor on the front passenger side. It was a common problem for the condenser drain hose which ran from the unit through a hole in the transmission tunnel to break off which would cause the A/C to drip onto the floor pan instead of out through the hole in the tunnel. Do you have the original A/C unit and starter?

Yes all original starters and hvac. I will investigate the clogged condenser tube
