Who’s watching in 2024? I started riding back in 2015 and Macaframa and Mash SF were my biggest inspirations of riding hard and what fixed gear use to be. I’m gonna be 23 in June so yea I started riding fixed when I was young. Best experience and lifetime I ever had till this day. The amount of miles, places, adventures, memories with all my homies was sincerely the best. Hopefully I’m not mistaken but I believe Keo Curry passed quite a while ago and he was my biggest inspiration. I don’t think no one did it better than him on a standard track bike with a 650 wheel in the front. Only other person I can think of that’s just as talented or maybe even better is Matt Reyes. Other than that other than obviously Keospin was named after Keo himself, Keo Curry is the greatest of FGFS on a track bike ever.

I started riding around the same year as you did. I'm 30 now but before we go out riding with my buddies we would always short clips of macaframa and it would pump us up. This video and Death council video always gets us hard all the time. Find the video with the song playing called "nature of the experiment" and feel the nostalgia rush

@@robinsai bro that’s exactly how we use to be. Like we were legit advocates and so invested into just riding. I’m from SoCal area and man I’ve rode thousands of miles everywhere as a teenager. Macaframa and Mash were and are the shit. There’s legit nothing like fixed gear. Just the memories, distance, locations, amount of uphills we had to climb and all the downhill bombs, either riding on cages or clipless shoes. All the crashes and incidents, not saying I got into any crazy accident but all the friends have been and I was there to experience. It’s kinda wild too, it’s not really regular for a kid 14-18 years old going out riding over 40+ miles, multiple 100+ mile rides, all in one gear, nonstop pedaling. Till this day I can’t ride how I use to. Maybe if tried I’m pretty sure I could but damn I was fucking animal on a bike as a kid.

Back when cut risers and straps/toe cage are used, nowadays its os long/straight bars and cleats

If its like a weekday id use riser bars and toe clips but if in doing laps id switch to a narrow compact drop bar and put on some road cleats.
